The rear end is the part I dislike the most. And overall it’s just too bubbly for me. But I also am not a fan of the design language ford is doing on any of their cars outside of full size trucks. I did like the interior when I test drove.
I like the Mach-E a lot. I'm getting beyond annoyed with Ford. They have had success with it and act like they don't know what to do with it, or the Lightning for that matter.

It got one for 2025 along with some other minor changes. I don’t know why they keep dragging their feet on a refresh.
Yes. Had they refreshed last year I probably would’ve bought one for myself and hand me downed my 2018 Model 3 to my daughter. Instead, bought her a Bolt that got the new battery pack and held on to the 3 - when my sons can drive in 2 years I’ll rethink what I get. Maybe a used i4 or Taycan.
It's frustrating as a fan. They don't update the Mach-E and will then wonder why sales start falling year over year. Sounds like you made the right choice with the new bolt. Now that is a good deal.
It really was! 2021 with 19K miles, I think $17,500 I got it for and battery warranteed until something like 2031
I saw one of the recent Mach E's with the heat pump, it eats into the frunk space a bunch, was unfortunate to see that tradeoff. Might as well offer it without and then you get easier access to mechanics if needed.
I am a huge fan of the MME, as a first year GT owner. It was a great car. The new ones are even better, but the cheaper models have serious compromises. I suppose if you spend what I spent on the first year GT, you can get something significantly improved.
We have no idea if the R2 will have the same issues with vampire drain as the R1s. It’s a completely different platform with a simplified zonal architecture and new tech. Surely they will have resolved that issue in this new vehicle.
Vampire drain on my Gen2 is pretty low. Not as low as my MME was, but low enough to be practically irrelevant. Practically.
People cross shop different categories all the time. Heck, I'm comparing all EVs. I have different likes and no one vehicle checks off all boxes. Maybe you want the most energy efficient, well sedans will likely do that. But maybe you want a car to handle a toddler's mess, well, a Rivian might do that, but maybe you want the quietest vehicle, well another vehicle for that. If there is not one feature that stands out as a necessity and is uncompromisable, then its easy to cross shop. I landed on Rivian because I like the company itself, else I might consider a Lucid Air which is nothing like it or if I want to be cheap, a Kia EV6 or something. Again, nothing like the others, but Rivian checked most of my boxes which is why I am going to settle with an R2.
