Sure if by "competition" you only mean EV pickup truck. The F150 Lightning and Silverado EV are a size class larger than the R1T. If Rivian tried to price match the R1T against those two it would be like BMW setting the price for an electric 3 Series to match an electric E-Class Mercedes. Size classes are relevant and while the larger pickups are currently competition simply because there isn't anything else, ultimately the R1T's competition will be an EV Ranger, Tacoma, Colorado, Canyon (especially Denali), etc.Perhaps a taboo topic, but I can't be the only person "on eggshells" wondering when Rivian will announce 2022 price adjustments. They cannot ignore the competition setting the bar for nicely equipped EV trucks over $70k that rapidly escalate to six-figures.
Rivian does not want to find itself in a place where an EV GMC Canyon Denali is $10-$15k cheaper than an R1T.
