Nice spot! Links for those who want them:Hope for a non-glass roof. Also - getting new merch based on the R2 in the shop.....
Assuming you mean on the exterior. Should have room for one under the rear cargo floor like R1, no?It's a shame there is no place for spare tire
There is no full size spare tire space on the inside of the R2 nor in the R1S.Assuming you mean on the exterior. Should have room for one under the rear cargo floor like R1, no?
Stock: I agree that I wouldn't want to do much off-roading with an R2, however, if we ever see a decent aftermarket area for Rivians, I think we could get some nicely built off-road rigs. Maybe something like these? Simple lift, tires, armor, maybe rollcage for the more extreme builds?I dunno, I don’t think I want to take this off-roading on stock components.
I think many people that will want a full size spare will opt for a rear bumper, or like some have done with their R1S's, get a hitch mount tire carrier. I think something along these lines would be nice. It's a shame there is no place for spare tire
95% of people that buy this won't so if you do, you'll be one of the few.I dunno, I don’t think I want to take this off-roading on stock components.
Which is completely valid if both parties understand what they're doing...That top picture seems odd to spot a vehicle by standing directly in front of it. Yikes.
Although in this case it seems to be just a camera angle illusion. The "trail" goes to the right, and that's the way the vehicle is turning as well, so the spotter is actually standing on the side of the trail, not in the middle and not directly in the path of the vehicle. It's just a matter of having to climb the rocks in the way, which is being done at an angle (as it should be) rather as straight-on.That top picture seems odd to spot a vehicle by standing directly in front of it.
