We traded in a 2023 Quad R1S for the 2026 Dual Standard R1S with Goodyear 20” tires…Rivian really pushed the idea that the suspension was hugely upgraded…my current feeling is that there are really minimal differences. The big difference I thought I’d see was improved efficiency, but so far it’s coming in essentially the same…this is even considering that the Quad was used 99% All Purpose!
I’d like to hear from anyone else that made a similar upgrade, if you’ve noticed anything tangible?
The biggest negative I’ve noticed is that the quad felt like it was on rails, so easy to steer, the dual feels a little whimsical/floaty so you need to make more micro adjustments to steering.
Some of this could be me needing to play with some settings or just readjusting to a different drive train…
Appreciate any feedback from ya’ll
