Reviews seem good, but I agree that a bit more of the details around the range and pricing would have been good. Doug did hint at the very end that he did see the pricing, and it looked really good. Not sure if he got a real sneak peak or just the generally talked about figures we see discussed.

Big takeaways for me so far:

2k lbs less than R1, what I expected. Should help a ton off road.

Rear biased single motor driving, hell yeah.

3.6 to 60 seems a tad slow considering it's got the same power as R1 non performance at 2/3 of the weight.

Smoother drive than R1, even Gen2 is a positive.

Still no range information, no charging in formation, no pricing. All we know is that:
  • At least one trim with one tire size get "over 300" miles
  • At least one battery pack she will give you a 10% - 80% charge in "about 30 minutes"
  • At least one trim/color/tire combo will be priced at $45k.
IOW we know nothing on any of these critical dimensions that we did not know yesterday. Oh, and we know that the top end spec drives well and the reviewers like it so far (not knowing any of the above).

Sounds like the LE Dual Motor is 656 HP and 3.6s or faster 0-60. So is the Tri going to be 850 HP and 3s or faster 0-60? That sounds insane. I love it. Now I'm excited to see what they will come up with for the R2 Tri.

MKBHD showed the range in his video. The car had 83% charge…my basic mathing indicates 3.1 miles per 1% of charge, or a 310 mile range for the Dual AWD launch edition. Right in line with the 306 mile range in the Model Y Performance that this launch edition seems aimed at In specs and pricing.

I have to assume they will launch a lower output dual motor later in the year that will get more range. Something directly comparable to the normal Model Y Long Range AWD.

RJ Said well under 3. Gonna be a monster. Prob at least $75k but worth every penny.

I'm a little surprised that this much lighter vehicle has nearly the same hp as the dual motor performance R1S, but slightly worse 0-60 time. I'm wondering if Rivian is still sandbaggging that number until actual release, or if they're just trying to leave extra room to push people for the tri-motor.

Doug's review was 75% with 236 miles remaining, so 314 at a full charge.
