Yes, reading between the lines...the launch edition gets the performance dual motor option with the standard dual motor, tri motor and single motor coming later. This seems a good choice for Rivian, as there is no additional hardware costs for the P since its a simple software unlock, but gives launch edition buyers a very nice powertrain to lure them in!
Temperature? This is over a couple days on my Max battery R1S. I ran the battery charging preparation during my drive home after picking it up out of storage.

I know it’s all subjective and personal preference but I like the look of the R2 SO MUCH BETTER than the Model Y.
Power unlock, pneumatic cylinders push it up, manual lower into the down position then the powered latch pulls it down the final inch or so and locks it down for driving. No pushing on the delicate aluminum hood to lock it down, the power latch does that for you
