FYI: we did this before Rivian announced their new color. I think someone owes us (and probably @LivingInKaos some royalties!!)

You are just teasing the rest of us now! This makes me want a plum R1S even more. The wrap option does seem to be a little more economical at this point though. New Borealis R1S Quad at about $128k, or wrap on my R1T Quad for a few k... Seems like a no brainer. Unless someone can convince Santa to bring me one?!

Same thoughts lol. I priced one and is $50k+ more than my early reservation price. Amazing how great of a vehicle and a deal for us early adopters.

No disrespect to those of you who love this, but this goes to the bottom of my list of color choices. On the flipside, I feel the R1s would look nice in nearly any color, just like how Margot Robbie or Henry Cavill could step out wearing a plain white t-shirt, and we'd call it chic. I do love that Rivian continues to offer both standard color, like Silver & El Cap, and bold unique colors in their lineup like this and blue/yellow/red. Would love to see Yellow return to the Tri-max to show off the caliper match.

Reporting was that 2026 models were dropping Red and Limestone, but I was happy to see them still listed this morning. Limestone is in my top 3 and I love the red too.

I'm in camp "anything but black/white/gray". The base R1 has five paint options, and only one has actual color to it. More choice is better. (Heck, if this color had existed in 2022 when we got our Rivian, it's probably what we'd have.)

Yep, R1T Quad Max Borealis will arrive this Saturday after ordering the last one (at least as of that date) a month ago with the 2% APR.

I've never been more excited; every car I've had up to this point has been a compromise on the color. Admittedly, this one is costing me more than the last two combined, but it's finally the right color

Will share photos before I ruin it in the mud.

I’m trading in my Compass Yellow R1T for a Borealis R1S. Should be here next week. The SD service center said it’s the first in the area.

I can confidently say I’ll still be able to pick out my vehicle in a sea of gray in parking lots, though maybe a bit less than my R1T.

NO!!!!! Just kidding, I hope you love your new ride. Hopefully your Compass Yellow goes to a great new home. Going from the original least ordered color to the new least ordered color. I like your style.

I may wrap my black R1S a similar purple down the road.

Picked up “Purple People Eater” today. Bittersweet also giving up “Spicy Mustard”, and the funny looks from my wife when I brought a purple SUV home (she didn’t know the color choice).

The San Diego SC was up in arms about a compass yellow R1T next to a Borealis R1S, so that was fun. They took more pictures than I did I think
