As a California native now on the East Coast, I partially based my El Cap color selection on my love of Yosemite. I'm not above saying I'd pick Half Moon Grey for the same love of my home state.

How do we know this is the R2 color list and why would it just be taped to a door? The color names seem legit though.

I’m guessing Esker Silver is that dark silver color. Catalina Cove is probably some shade of blue.

Not at all taped to a door - It was on a screen inside the showroom and I was about 50 yards away so that's why it's a "crappy" photo

Catalina Cove is definitely some kind of blue based on the photo. Perhaps they rebranded laguna beach blue (teal) from the R3X since Santa Catalina island is close by as well.

A little funny "borealis", which was a limited run for only tri and quad motor R1s, now coming to significantly cheaper model.

8 colors a lot for a single paint shop?

When information came out about the paint shop when setting up for the R1 release they said the system they are using can paint different colors on a line with something like 5 meters apart. Changing colors was not an issue. I’ll see if I can find where I am remembering that from.

Edit:

This is not the one that says the distance but talks about it being a canister based system with minimal waste. Around 2:40 in the video.
