Wondering what the best guess is on GVWR for the R2. There was an older thread on Reddit where someone thought 5,800lbs.
I know the Mach E GVWR max is 5,980lbs . Bummer for me as biz owner as S179 is 6,000lbs+. Always wondered why manufacturers who are that close just don't add something that is 20 lbs to make it more appealing for this scenario.
Asking as the R1S obviously is over 6K. Effectively this would make the R1S about the same net price as an R2 if the R2 is sub-6K lbs. We did this exercise a few years over when we liked Tesla (do not any longer). The Y is under, the X is over - but we hated the falcon doors so effectively paid more for a Y.
Not sure I would do the same thing in this scenario, even though I don't need 3 rows and all the room of a R1S.
Thanks!
