Had I not needed to replace the BMS, it would have been much less work. But yeah still a bit of a pain lolHoly cow, that was involved. I I'd be pretty amped about the idea of adding a hard switch, but that job looks like a giant pain! Good on you for diving in and figuring it out though! Maybe someday in the future I'll take it on. I love the camp speaker, the sound quality is first class and the light is really handy when it gets dark out. But yeah... the power problems really kill it's usability.
Lol, yeah mine was about to be "retired" which is why I decided to take this on.Worthless sales gimmick. The camp speaker, not your fix hahaha. Mine is somewhere in the garage because I got tired of the beeping.
Give it time.....lolAm I the only person with zero issues with it?
I had someone connect to it from another car while sitting at a stop light one time. It’s been a few years….
I guess you're just luckyIt’s been a few years….
I had an issue with the beeping/"bonging" sound once. I then remembered to turn it off before putting it in the dock in my truck. No issues since.Am I the only person with zero issues with it?
Funny how a simple on off switch would solve almost all the issues..Mine is often extremely dead when I go to use it on a road trip. So I’ll charge it up via a USB charger. After it is charged and back in the truck I‘LL hear it connecting to my phone from the parking lot at work or garage at home. So I tend to delete the Bluetooth profile after use, if I remember.
Just a switch would solve my issue. The thing drains itself until it is dead beyond what the R1T slide in charger can bring it back from.
Nice work. You’ve got a lot of patience.
