The skateboard you have is the dream of what could have been... The elusive 180kWh pack. 🥲

Would be neat to see a video swapping out the half shaft, I've seen the service procedure, but a video would be great. Also, from your point of view, where is their most likely failure point, is it the interface with the motor, or the hub assembly?
I can do some of the Half Shaft stuff. We do have some of their OEM tools but it isnt terrible. Do you want the front or the rear?

I have torn apart both the Origin and the Enduro and the Origin I think will have heat issues due to how it is cooled IMO. I like the Enduro since it is pressurized oil to cool inside the Rotor and sprays on the stator.

It is the actual 180kWh pack, it has the extra 2 modules in the main pack, which runs further rear ward than the original 9 module 135kWh/131kWh/ and revised 144kWh "Max Pack. It also has the telltale 12th module on top of the pack which was meant to take the place of the underseat storage in the R1T. I have never seen the R1S version, but it was meant to sacrifice the 3rd row, and likely under floor rear cargo bin.

I'm not sure the R1S version ever existed. They waffled on offering it quite a bit before cancelling them both, I don't think they went back and forth on offering for the R1T until it was just cancelled.

I'd be real curious if the body off the R1T skateboard in the video had stickers under the hood or in the driver door jam at all.

I agree, the shorter R1S platform really didn't lend itself to 180kWh pack as it was on the T. Even now, the original Large 135kWh pack takes up the space completely between the front and rear subframes on the S

There were also some unverified rumblings that they were having issues achieving a decent payload rating on the R1T 180kWh variant which was also why they likely scrapped it.

The route they went in the end with a chemistry change, while maintaining the same pack sizing across large and max packs was the right move.

Screenshot for folks who don't have time to watch the video. 😊

Front is seemingly the main one that goes.

Great work. I guess for me I‘d like to see the future things to come that I may need to replace, brakes as mentioned by Bruce, headlights for when rocks bust them, frunk struts, door mirrors, tailgate, tonneau cover, interior headliner. I know on this website much of this can be found but sometimes holding a camera while trying to do work does play well. Just the disassembly holds value. Thanks again the post.
