Also, this photo really shows how egg shaped the MY is in comparison. Definitely prefer the shape of R2, even if there's a loss of Cd value.

According to the EPA the R2 Launch Performance Edition has a higher range than the Model Y Performance (335 miles vs. 307 miles). Rivian really lowered the roofline, rounded the rear quarter panels, tucked the rear wiper into the tailgate, and that rear roof spoiler really helps with aero. The overall vehicle is also under 5,000 lbs. They engineered the shit out of the R2. Very impressive.

Very cool. The R2 has the same footprint as the Model Y, but it’s taller and boxier.

One of these is NEARLY the lowest cD vehicle (.22), and the other isn’t. ;-).. I don’t think we have an official CD for the R2 yet, but some say it’s .28

The R2 has some impressive efficiency numbers (at least on paper), imagine if they also had the low Cd of the MY!

Not official published number but IIRC 0.3 was stated by the designer in an interview. Unfortunately can't recall whose video it was though.
