Surprised they didn’t wash it though. Maybe it’s a requirement of the testing process though keep it dirty to see how the paint holds up

Camera, lighting, angle of sunlight, angle Of camera, ambient lights,, time of day, time of year, dirt, dents,

Then computer settings, monitor, iphone/android, ipad, color settings, RBG, NSTC, PAL, True Tone on/off, night shift on/off…

There is no world where a picture online is going to truly reflect the in person color… pretty soon enough of these will be rolling around and our own eyes and mental calculations for altered colored states will give us a personal real perspective.

For me, I don’t care if it “looks too blue or dark” or “doesn’t look like Rivian Blue”.. I just want it and want it NOW.

Again, it’s a metallic paint. All the little metal flakes in it act like mirrors, reflecting and refracting light and color from surroundings. It looks different in different situations. If you really want to see what it looks like in a neutral environment, look at the web site where it is rendered in a white environment: a shade of blue with (probably) a bit of green pigment.

Dropped by the 'local' Rivian store(?) and they had the R2 paint colors, except for Catalina Cove. It was a rare sunny day here and was able to take out the Half Moon Gray and compare it to the current grey. The new color looks great, more natural dirt color to it compared to the really green/blue of the El Cap Granite. Still pretty shiny but I think would look 'BOSS' with a mat wrap.

Now the Borealis was such a neat color. It really is pretty and handsome at the same time. Really dark in the shade and just wow in the sun. Not a hit of Barney. Not my style. I think it will be very popular once people see it in the wild.

I am impressed with the color line up. Even the white is awesome, warm and clean with no shiny bits. Another color perfect to wrap or accent. See the Bronco forum for ideas.

Lastly, no interior colors for the R2. The gal, helping me logged into the R2 configurator for me and I was able to see the options. Not really different than wha is on the web site, just more organized for ordering.
