Wow even the janitors got a Rivian before me apparently... Still odd we don't see red yellow seems like the same three or four colors we keep seeing.
yup. no yellow, red, limestone (obviously) and very few black or silvers. im sure that gives us an indication of which are the most to least popular.

I don't think it's misaligned. I think the upper tailgate is convex, and the lower tailgate is concave, creating a place to reach under and lift the tailgate.

It's more obvious on the second-to-last picture.
I wonder if I will be stopped by police when I am carrying drywall with tailgate down because my tag is not visible.

That goes with my thinking that you might not be able to drive with the mini-tailgate down and the upper gate latched. I noticed the top gate latches into the lower one.

Nothing a bungee and a tape on potential sensors can't get around. Anything that opens, can be made to stay open.

Yeah, that’s what I do with our Acadia now. Not optimal, but it works.

I was hoping that they designed it with the idea to use either gate independently, but we’ll see once an R1S end up in owner hands!

Believe it or not all of those look like they should buff out. Every state’s off roaders call them something different, but here we call them “Colorado pinstripes”. Definitely one of the reasons I prefer desert running vs. heavy brush and rock crawling :tumbleweed:
