At least it's posted somewhere for reference and not emailed a single time or has to be requested over and over and over to a Guide who most of the time has no information.

I just checked the Rivian site, and nope, nothing new there.
I just checked my installed Rivian app and nothing there either.

Maybe if I worked for Rivian though.... :(

You do work for Rivian… unpaid. More news articles come out of this forum than the PR department.

Rivian R1T R1S January/Feb delivery windows 3

Hmmm. You may be onto something.

so, does this thread die on 3/1 and everyone moves over to the March-April thread... or do we just rename this one as the "still no delivery bitchathon"?
Still No Delivery BITCHATHON! would be a great thread name.

I can already imagine the fake internet 'reaction score' points that I would get by posting it...

Positive news. People have heard of a likely day beyond Feb before the month ended.
I've been calling February 29th for a while now. Let's see if I'm right! :CWL:

Been following this thread.. Bummed to hear about further delays.

Getting close to buying something else, granted my LE R1T window was April/May so they haven’t missed any target for me yet. That said I am having my doubts they will meet that just like most the rest of you.

Also for what its worth not sure I can go back to no Carplay, deal with a fixed glass roof or the back seat design as is. Maybe Rivian will get their act together and I can buy an R2T.

Oh and still waiting for my guide contact, did they mean Thanksgiving 2022 for that?

Yeah, I’m waiting for my R1S simply because I do not need a new vehicle and this is the only one out there I find worth writing a check for that meets my needs.

That being said, even I have to agree this was a big miss and literally zero follow up on why or what the new time frame would look like. Not even sure they still have this program and if they do what it will really look like.

It's funny, Rivian just quietly let this promise go away. Meeting our guide by Thanksgiving turned into an email about our delivery timeframe.

It's going to get worse before it gets better. Rivian just can't deliver cars. Tesla can't deliver cars. Ford can't deliver as many cars as they want. Chevy had to put the Bolt on hold through April now....

I'm already under the assumption that my July-September delivery window is 2023.

As a collision repair shop owner, I've seen supply chain issues up close. So many parts are on backorder. Waiting a month for a door, grille, and other parts. Never seen anything like this.

Not sure if rivian is going through this.

A major issue is the lack of follow through on self imposed deadlines and commitments. I completely understand a guide not getting in touch with the 50K+ preorders that were in place Q42021, that's a lot of work do to for a startup...but why set that as the expectation? Why not just start with an email blast and work up to the individual guide contacts? Or just have the Launch Editions get guide contacts, that's a much smaller amount of people. Seeing all manufacturing struggle does make me feel a bit bad for the situation Rivian is in as a start up, but then they make decisions that increase difficulty. Turn up the difficulty once you've beaten the game not when you've barely started.

Don’t mean to side-topic the thread, but since you’re a collision shop owner, what would you do if someone brought you an R1T today that was in an accident? Any clue how long that repair might take?

Is it reasonable to think they’re still struggling in terms of man power in manufacturing…. I’ve feel as though I e ran across a lot of new hiring posts on Facebook re: production in the last couple weeks. It’s been all production and a few delivery/field techs.
