I haven’t seen any posts on this yet, so I’m guessing I might be the outlier, but interested in knowing if anyone else is having a similar issue? Short version… Rivian Assistant is not working.

I have a Gen1 R1T and the update was installed without issue. When I say “Hey Rivian” the Assistant activates and waits for me to say a command, so that part is working. However, when I say a command, any command, it doesn’t do anything. I have tried many, many times and so far it opened the Frunk once, but wouldn’t close it, and it set my temperature correctly. Other than those two times the only other thing I get is a spoken message that says “Rivian Voice Assistant is offline. Please try again later.”

I have rebooted the Infotainment system and a full reboot of the truck and still getting the same result. I talked with Rivian Service and they opened a ticket, but said there wasn’t anything they could do remotely. I have an appointment to get my windshield replaced in a few weeks, so they said they would look at it then. Anyone else in the same boat and found a fix?

I think if you let your Riv sit overnight, after restarting the s/w and vehicle, and it still happens, SC help it is.

Did you go through the initialization steps in Settings after installing? I had a similar issue until I read the instructions in the user manual.

I had the same issue it worked for one day and then it wouldn’t respond.I had to do two resets before it would work again…I can’t believe that I’m starting to miss Alexa.

Go over to your on-screen volume control, the speaker icon. Tap on it gives you the slider for master volume. Then tap on the three dots to get volume control for each individual audio source. Is audio level for RA at 0? Read release notes, it makes references to other things that may have additional settings to check and verify.
