Treehouse RTT Rooftop Tent spotted on R2

These R2 have been at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Park City, Utah this week. The Borealis R2 has the Rivian Treehouse RTT attached, so hopefully a good sign that it will make production and be available. Spotted by @JuliaE

Would you guys consider the OEM treehouse RTT? Or thinking you'd go aftermarket?

i’ve stayed here before, this doesn’t look like the main lodge/hotel, but More like private residences/condos either on the golf course or up on the hill..one can hike up there but there might be a security gate to get exactly to where they are.

The "$5000" price range has been mentioned a few times for this tent. Seems like a lot for a tent, but if I were to get one, I would go with this OEM version.

These are the things that I have the feeling that 3-4 riivian r2 brethren will buy as a group. For most ppl it would have limited seasonal use.

With the right folks all signing a pledge to keep it clean it would be like a condo time share agreement ;-).

I had to look him up. The host of Wild Kingdom. I love nature documentaries. I grew up watching them on the Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel in the 90’s before both of those channels went to shit.

The elusive Esker Silver will someday be captured for all the world to see and then released back into the wild, where all free Rivians belong.

So it has a hard shell with a large clear window? I probably wouldn’t ever pick this over the Rivian branded iKamper simply because I would most likely leave the tent permanently mounted. That large window means more than 300 days per year of sun exposure. Even if the window can block some radiation, there still will be some exposure to “age” tent materials. Unless there is proof or guarantee that will not be a concern and price is better than the iKamper.
