"Electrical system fault" message. Has anyone had any issues with the latest software upgrade? Also have issues with self drive since the upgrade.

I don’t know if the update is what caused that. You could have an unrelated problem. Call service to get it sorted.

The only issue I am having with UHF is with the conditions on our roads at the moment. There is a lot of sand and salt residue that seem to make it hard for the system to read lane markings that it would normally not have a problem with. I've hit a few instances in recent weeks when it would tell me to take control.

I had the same issue a few days after upgrading. The car was parked overnight and was not charging when this greeted me upon opening the door. I left the R1T for about an hour and the issue went away. I called Rivian support and they suggested a hardware reset. Haven't seen the issue again but still have a service appointment for next week in case I need it.

I had the same problem in my brand new Gen 2 Quad. It's been raining nonstop in Southern California, so I think somehow water is being detected in a place it should not be.

The warning went away after I did a hard reset, but it came back the next day. (This happened three times - reset, clear, return.) Now that it's not raining, I've gone two days without warning. I'll take to the service center if it comes back again, but I'm dreading that Enterprise rental...

One issue on the self drive came up today. Major interstate with scanners to charge your account or send you a bill from the license reader. One of the original hands free roads I used many times. Well, went on that road for the first time since the upgrade and it now thinks these readers are toll booths, wants me to take control and starts to stop if I don't. So instead of a nice 20-miles of hands free driving on a little traffic road, I am constantly wrangling with the car after each intersection with a reader.

I just had this same warning pop up on mine this past weekend. 2023 R1T, 28k miles. In the SC now, techs have sent info to engineers. Waiting to hear back.

No, no flood, didn’t ford any rivers or high water. Haven’t been through the car wash in a couple of weeks either. Actually, it’s been dry as a bone around here.
