Nice, I remember you also getting your Rivian around same time as me early days. Did you get your property tax bill yet? Curious how it compares to R1(same or lower)

Where'd they have you pick up, duncan?
I did indeed pick it up in Duncan. The team there was very good and it was a easy process. I had to submit my purchase agreement to Greenville County Assessor to get a tax bill. For reference, my tax bill last year on a 2023 R1S was $1113 and my bill for the R2 is $1019.

Mine for the R1S was going to be due in October, so the timing for R2 worked out well for me. I would have been annoyed if I had paid property tax on the R1 just to sell it and then get smacked again for the R2.

Still feels like a taunt though :( come on Forest Green! Ordered 8/18.
Forest green has to make it on the line soon! Looks like a few people are getting Catalina Cove VINs right now. It’s the most popular color so they make a bunch it seems.

Just got delivery date confirmed!

First day reservation holder (first 13 min) not R1 owner.
CC LE 21”
8/11/26 Received email to order
8/13/26 Ordered CC LE 21”
8/18/26 received the purchase paperwork and VIN X47xx (the devils VIN)
8/19/26 received call from local service center about pickup timing “1-2nd week of Sept”
8/26/26 got pickup date for Sept 11, 2026

Confirmation for delivery says vehicle is currently still in transit from Normal.

What I find ODD is that we’re at like x8000 for VIN these days, why would a X47xx VIN only be NOW shipping from Normal?
Could this be one of the trouble vehicles that had to have the hardware unit replaced after manufacture, or maybe a declined purchase (maybe it was the devils VIN someone didn’t like)

Is there any way one can check if the car had to be serviced after manufacture?

There are other complications, but one is that they're not all built in numerical VIN order. For example, I ordered an Esker Silver vehicle in June, and I don't have it yet (I should get it Friday). The VIN is 3323. I'm pretty sure they didn't build it six weeks ago and then just sit on it.

You'll be able to see the build date on the car (month and year) or in RR (specific day). Let us know what the actual date is when you get it. Based on the VINs, there is big cluster of Esker in the 3000's, so it's possible they did a big production run and are just clearing the backlog.

So yours was built maybe a month ago? It's not like it's been sitting on the shelf for the past year and about to reach its expiration date.

Don’t be so concerned about the VIN, they are ramping up production and are building higher volumes each day as the ramp up progresses.

An example, my vin is 1915 and it was built on 6/22, your VIN is about 2800 after mine so was probably built late July, then has to queue up for transportation. They are not necessarily shipping out in the build order and can take a few weeks once shipped. Mine was delivered on 7/21 so was a month between build and delivery.

Yeah, a lot of it will come down to cost/timing etc. I don't know personally but I would bet a freight carrier going in x direction at y price may even sway who gets shipments/builds first.

I'm wondering the same thing about my 3012 VIN, expected delivery date 9/16/2026. Ordered 8/12/2026. The purchase paperwork also says it has 100 miles on it. Where has it been?
