Was perusing Rivian site looking at lease prices and just discovered this.

Good summary by @MidnightRivian đź‘Ť

Rivian R1S base price dropped to $74,900 for Adventure Package. The configurator now includes a 315 mile battery pack called Standard+ for $3,100.
Now you can configure one with 315+ miles of range, choose a color as long as you go with Limestone, Forest Green, White or Silver and still keep it eligible for the full tax credit. If you go with LA silver you can add Ocean Coast interior and keep it eligible for the tax credit.
Leasing terms have also been updated to reflect more attractive terms for the consumer. The $7,500 EV credit is included with leasing. (Offer includes upfront capitalized cost reduction of $7,500 provided by the lessor.)

just saw this as well. not sure if paying $6K for 40 more miles makes sense now with a dual motor configuration, especially given that charging to 75% is recommended.

Prices have changed too at the battery pack level. But the total price msrp of options hasn’t.

$73K price!

This is great for those looking to get under the $80,000 threshold in the R1S. Very reasonable range for the price.

So for the R1T the standard plus dual motor w/21" wheels is basically where the pre price hike quad 21" was. Minus the underbody shield. Similar range too. I'm sure they put this additional battery pack as an option to get over 300 miles and still eligible for the tax credit. going to the large pack effectively increases the cost by $13,500. For 37 more miles.

nothing changes at the end of the day other than them adding a new price point between Standard and Large packs. instead of the $6k gap, its a $3k gap now.

it also appears now that you have to get at least the Standard+ pack to be able to add the All-Terrain package. unless that was always like that.

So it’s only a 3k drop with a cheaper battery option at 315, I’m going to wait a bit longer

Base price is $3k cheaper. The R1S standard was set for $78k, now it’s $75k. Standard plus is a great option now.

Holly crap, that's a $3k price increase for large and max. Max is now wildly overpriced.
Yep. My exact pre-price hike R1S config is now $16750 more than what I paid for it (that would also add $1465 more in sales tax!!). I honestly would reconsider if I had to purchase again at the new full price.
