No call, but I got the red triangle warning yesterday on my March 23 R1T. I just bought it used wit 25k miles in it 3xweeks ago.

SC said out of warranty (by a few weeks) so I have to pay. I did get full maintenance history--no previous 12v issues.

I kept asking, and am now, down to $350+tax for 2 batteries replaced. I'll let them do it this time and hope the, sodium solution proves out in the next 2 years before I need to replace again.

Kinda hard to tell my wife that my truck that I bought to save us money needs new batteries.

The flip side is I got my home charger today and filled my truck up with sunshine.

350 is basically the SC installed cost for one 12V.

Month 44 for me, and still the same TWO 12V batteries.
Fun fact, if the failure is random, then the chance of one of my two batteries failing is TWICE as high as the chance of failure in a vehicle with just one battery ... Logic thus suggests what most people experience is a systems failure (e.g. BMS) rather than a battery wearing out, and that my system is working fine.

Regardless, I've replaced two ICE batteries in the past four years, so when it comes time to replace my R1T batteries it won't surprise or upset me - these things are wear items after all. $350 is high but not extreme, however I would really appreciate a cheaper option.

Yeah, I'm not too disappointed. Technically they haven't made any money off me. I'm just an expense on their balance sheet for potential warranty work, and a possible future customer, so the goodwill gesture seems reasonable.

Hoping the, appointment Thursday goes smoothly.

I started having problems with my audiobook breaking up. This uses bluetooth to connect to my Rivian. I thought maybe I needed a new phone. Then I received a notice that my 12 volt battery needed to be replaced. After the replacement the audiobook is no longer breaking up.

Hmm, I hadn't seen that BT was a symptom, but I've been having intermittent dropouts lately and just got the text for 12v replacement. USB has been getting worse too. But vampire drain has stayed consistent at 1℅/12hr. Mobile service scheduled for next week...

I'm seeing at least 1%/12 HR. Thursday can't get here quick enough.

Update: service completed at Fife WA SC. 2 batteries replaced, all seems to be good. SC staff were quick, friendly. Good experience.

I read somewhere that the way to tell if you have 2 batteries is if you have a 12v outlet in the frunk. I do not, so I assumed I have only 1, but SC conformed that I have 2 batteries.

My single 12v battery was swapped about a month ago now. I haven't noticed any operational differences. If anything, vampire drain has rounded up to 3% / 24h vs before a steady 1% / 12h. Though the Ride menu shows less red boxen, now just RTM and VIP

The battery make and model is the same. The tech said reset from Ride was not enough, he had to do "about 13 resets" from his laptop while connected both to my vehicle's ODB and his WiFi hotspot.
