6'2" and I use to lower my R1S to lowest height or use a step ladder in standard height setting. Since installing my DCE sliders I stand on the sliders and can reach the roof. I also don't use buckets. I prefer a foam cannon and an electric pressure washer.
I have the same problem and I also adjusted the hatch, but it still happens. It seems to happen more frequently when it's hot out. I will probably log a ticket with Rivian to get it fixed.
My R1S roof glass was cracked at time of pickup. Rivian had the glass in stock, but hired an outside glass company to do the installation. I don't think the local SC does the actual replacement of windshields and roof panels. They sub that work out to a glass company that has the experience...
A Come A long is a budget approach if you cannot afford a REAL winch. I personally HATE them. I have used them multiple times. They are slow and sketchy at best. Save your pennies and buy a good quality winch (Warn). I gave my last come a long away. Just didn't feel comfy using it.
