Dropping this here, in case anyone is looking for a more affordable spare tire option - https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/21-inch-wheel-spare-for-500-willing-to-ship.18304/
Yeah, that was something I though about. I personally do not have any major concerns, I got a 5th for a spare just in case. The portion closer to the rim is a 4ply but you are right the outer portion is 2 ply. This will be the first time I'm offroading so I think in the future I may get a...
Interesting, nope, not for me. There seems to be a lot of variance around it, the guy who called from the Denver one to confirm my appointment - thought they could do it by OTA initially. The tech who showed up said sometimes it takes 5 minutes and other times 3 hours. He was in and out in 10...
For what it's worth, brought them back to discount tire to recalibrate - no issues, they found where it wasn't calibrated correctly and have already fixed it. Pretty impressed! Highly reccomend.
That's really intriguing I had no clue speed/diameter could cause it. It is weird someone has to come out and do it. For some reason I was expecting when they refreshed the system it would reset everything, but to my surprise it didn't! After about 100 miles yesterday the trip planning perfectly...
They have been absolutely great! I will most likely work with them in the future for all my tire needs as they're down the street and rivian has a contract with them. They have custom pucks I believe to assist with it and have a lot more knowledge then other tire places.
Get excited, it is...
Ah, interesting! I cant say one way or the other on if its possible, I haven't tried or talked to anyone yet. I'll probably just chat with the service techs on the day of my appointment and see what they say. We'll see ?
Darn! It would be difficult to open with crossbars on it, but if it's closed or open the slots to put the crossbars in are still accessible since the rails are on the inside ?
Yeah so it's definitely more convenient to get it all from them.
I paid 250 for the tpms and device to copy them - which took me 5 minutes to do (once it was updated).
I then paid I think 2600 for all 5 rims.
Then I paid about 2200 for the tires themselves. The cost for the package would have...
Price seems pretty decent - the tech did say sometimes it takes 5 minutes and sometimes it fails and takes 3 hours - I was one of the lucky ones this morning.
Yeah, they definitely are, seems like everyone that's seen them - love them. I definitely think they look better than the oems & if you do your tpms yourself you can save a bit of money then just have discount tire bring it all together for yah.
They're lighter then the oems even though they're...
I have 2 21" Spares I am looking to sell, left, willing to part with them in the colorado area for $520 each. Will consider shipping if they don't sell in the next couple of weeks. See my previous post here -
It's really a tuxedo roll up cover adapted for Rivian, so it's pretty good quality - https://evsportline.com/products/rivian-r1t-rmaxx-soft-tonneau-roll-up-bed-cover
They have a good installation video on YouTube,, it's 5 - 10 minutes to install.
Yeah, so if you're only putting them on for a weekend I think you'd be fine to keep you system software set to 21s.
Ultimately the benefit of switching the software really comes in when you need the accurate range estimates, and you want your car to have the correct info.
I'm not sure what...
I do have 1/2 unclaimed right now, I am trying to do local. If I don't get a bite in 1/2 weeks I will look into shipping them, so I'll keep in touch-with you!
For what it's worth the ev sportsline one I have that's a rollup is super convenient (takes no gear tunnel space) and is cheaper than most. It's been pretty waterproof and the convivence of it is nice.
