I'd be fine except not being able to fully enjoy Spain because I'll have the truck waiting for me :)
If it doesn't happen for this trip, then it won't happen until the end of June when we're in Disneyland for a week.
But today is not that day, at least not for me. And I'm pretty sure I'll check tomorrow.
My fear is that they'll reach out this week and tell me I can take delivery next week, but I'm out of town 4/14-4/22
Resentment is the perfect word. I am almost as peeved as I was with the pricing increase - maybe more because I understood why they did the pricing increase. None of this makes any sense.
I had a test drive when i was still an R1S res holder (switched to an R1T after the test drive). To be clear the test drive vehicle was an R1T. Nobody has driven an R1S yet as far as I know.
We're (or at least I am) not losing hope, we (or at least I) just think it's f***ing ridiculous they are delivering vehicles to people who have been waiting barely a year when there are some who have been waiting for 3+ and haven't even heard a word (and have configs very similar if not the same...
Another adventure with a really late over date to boot. I can't imagine nobody else ordered that configuration before April 2021.
At this point Rivian is really lucky there isn't a viable alternative.
Stoked for you!
It's seeing folks like you getting your trucks that keeps me from going over the edge when I see Rivian preparing to deliver a truck to someone who ordered in January!
Why do they keep making these videos, the results are obvious before they even start.
Oh wait, I just watched the whole thing - so I guess that's the answer to my own question.
Unless they want a favorable mid-quarter update when they do earnings in 5 days. They'd love to show a non-linear growth in both production and deliveries midway through the quarter I'm sure.
