I thought it was weird that Rivian makes no distinction between wheel options when it comes to range. I know that Tesla will show you the difference if you change wheel options, but Rivian doesn't do that at all, from what I've seen with their online configurator. I guess they feel the...
There are a number of factors that trigger airbag deployment. Although the damage here seems fairly substantial, the airbags might not have deployed because they shouldn't have deployed. It completely depends upon the circumstances. So I wouldn't fault Rivian without knowing exactly what happened.
The last thing I want to buy is a hybrid. To me, it's just too much complexity to have both gas and electric drivetrains in one vehicle. But there's no denying that there is a lot of demand for hybrids, as many people see them as the best of both worlds.
I do believe that this can hurt Rivian...
Cars that have an application process and/or require a history of ownership to buy are typically the cars that appreciate in value from day one. Mostly exotic cars, but even the Ford GT qualifies. If you're lucky enough to be chosen to buy one. You can rest assured that the value will have...
Mostly true, but not entirely. There are "special" cars that appreciate from day one and normally go up in value. Of course most of those cars are purchased as investments and rarely driven, but they do exist.
It's not normally that linear. Most vehicles reach a point at about the 4 to 6 year mark where they tend to hold most of their value after that initial depreciation hit from the first few years.
In my case, they damaged a fully machined finish wheel on my Jeep. Unlike a painted wheel, it's not easy to refinish a machined wheel (plus the fact that it's clearcoated as well), so I told them that I was going to buy a new one and they could reimburse me. I gave the invoice to the manager at...
The suspension is air. No fluid, not hydraulic. If you hear fluid in the system, you've got big problems. Just sayin'....
Of course this is assuming that you're talking about the noises people complain about when the suspension raises or lowers.
That may be true, but there's a huge investment there and it doesn't make sense to have such a poor service/product even if they were "forced" to do it.
EA simply needs to get better.
I've noticed that the new 22" aero wheels don't make any difference compared to the older 22" wheels as far as rated range in the configurator. I thought there would be a slight difference, but there's not from what I've seen.
I think that percentage is much higher, to be honest. But no, adding an engine doesn't really work for a company that builds EVs. It's an interesting point though----if Rivian decided to make a gas powered version of their R1S & R1T, would people buy them? Unless they were priced in a super...
I've had Amazon Echos in my house for at least 10 years now and I used them a lot. I even use them to control a lot of the smart functions in my house, such as lighting, ceiling fans, etc... What I've noticed is that Alexa hasn't really improved over the years. It's really disappointing, but I...
Most studies put the number at 30 - 35% of new car buyers are not interested in buying a car without CP. Personally, I've never purchased a car without it, at least since the last ten years, when the technology became available.
So then how can you reconcile the fact that I can do for free much of the stuff that Rivian is charging people to do in their Rivian? You can dismiss it all you want, but facts matter here. Rivian is looking to capitalize on requiring it's customers to pay for some pretty basic functionality...
I think you're missing my point. Rivian is offering a subscription service for similar functionality that most others get with CP/AA. That's why I'm saying that they'll never offer it....because they are going to be making money from the subscriptions.
