  1. Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 R22 115H installed

Good choice. A few months back, I upgraded from OEM 21s with Pirellis to aftermarket 22s with the Michelin MS2 115H, and the difference in ride quality is definitely noticeable. I’ve also noticed a 7-8% increase in range, with no issues in wet or dry traction so far.
  2. Another one bites the dust: Good bye Rivian, for now...

You’re right, and I think that applies to any vehicle. Sorry to see two from the NY crew bow out. Wishing you guys the best with your new rides.
  3. Connect+.... I call bullshit

Right, right, of course. May I suggest some alcohol to get over your disappointment?
  4. Connect+.... I call bullshit

@zachstodd your entire contribution to this forum has been focused on 2 sensationalist threads over the past 2 weeks. Do you actually own a Rivian or are you just browsing?
  5. Great Experience at Chelsea SC!

Great to hear, and mirrors my experience with my SC too.
  6. So do we still have to wave at other Rivians on the road or is that no longer a thing?

Yeah, we need a wink. My wife says I wave like the pope at every Rivian that passes.
  7. Rivian's Dangerous Gamble: Ignoring Customer Safety for Profit?

Tough crowd. OP is venting, and that’s OK. I’m also disappointed that Rivians don’t have AA/CP, but honestly, there are 99 other things I love about the vehicle that I decided to just go with a MagSafe mount and move on.
  8. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

@Riiivian very impressive detective work, thank you. Horns, fusetaps, eliminating wind noise and now a suspension workaround thanks to this forum. Part and parcel of being a Gen1 owner of any vehicle.
  9. Guide: R1S / R1T Wind Noise FIX!

@akc5247 thank you. And ignore my question above. I misread the instructions for the door frame vs the door itself.
  10. Guide: R1S / R1T Wind Noise FIX!

@ne0phyte @akc5247 For the door frame fix, how important is it to get the L-shaped weather stripping behind the existing seal? I’m asking because, even with trim tools, I can’t manage to get the L-shaped seal behind the existing seal in several spots. You mentioned the goal is to puff up the...
  11. Guide: R1S / R1T Wind Noise FIX!

@Hamdan alqubaisi @ne0phyte @akc5247 Your levels of OCD are unprecedented, you guys rock! I have no wind noise but I want to be in the cool kids club! Lol! I’m only joking, I’ve had wind noise suddenly pop up on the front top passenger side and I’ve ordered copious amount of rubber tubing for a...
  12. Dark staining on yellow calippers

I don’t live on 27 acres and so I washed and ceramic coated my wheels and calipers today. Your turtle wax bottle has an iron remover. I’d say try that, or alcohol pads if that doesn’t work.
  13. New Jersey A2Z NACS Adapter $150 (Free Shipping in USA). NOTE THE A2Z is the 2nd set of picture

No offense, but that doesn’t look like an A2Z NACS adapter or any kind of NACS adapter for that matter. It seems more like a generic J1772 adapter. Are you sure the photo or description is correct?
  14. Stealth PPF for Midnight - Two Tone or Full Stealth?

Two-tone! Gloss roof, side pillars, bumper undercarriage, rims and badging and stealth on the body…
  15. I am at a loss, Rivian service is broken and I can't take it anymore

100%. I'd rather add two hours to my trip than step foot in the Brooklyn SC. It’s like some Rivian marketing whiz thought, “Let’s pick the coolest, grungiest spot in NYC,” but forgot to actually visit New York first.
  16. Michelin Costco Defender 22s - Failing road force balance. Next steps?

If it helps, I bought the same tires in the same size, but had my local wheel and tire specialist mount and balance them. His opinion was that most big name shops only road force balance once to pass, but if you tested them again, you’d find that they were no longer balanced in many cases. He...
  17. Cybertruck Hits 405kW Peak Charge Rate

If I were driving this, I’d want it to charge as slow as possible…
  18. 22" inch tires recommendations?

Local wheel repair and tire specialist known as the “wheel doctor”, who is also a certified tirerack installer.
