I can hear some rattling but hard to tell if it is suspension-related. The suspension on R1S is rather noisy and I will also be taking mine to service center to look at the noise (squeaking over bumps) as well as some door panel rattling.
Thanks for sharing your exciting trip. I am also interested in your rear storage setup. What are those storage boxes (containers)? Where did you buy them?
I think door paint chip and hood alignment should get fixed. Others look rather minor.
My R1S also has some rattling in rear driver door, and squeaky suspension. I tried to tolerate them but still decided to get an appointment for SC to look at it.
Yes, the max pack will go a few more miles in the initial charge but after that there is very minor benefit. For $10k extra, I agree with Kyle that max pack is not worthwhile but I can understand others may think other way.
I found my R1S overestimate the efficiency by 10 to 20%, versus my own calculation (i.e., the mileage divided by the actual energy consumption, even after excluding vampire drain).
I don't have mechanical or electrical problems (so far) but my R1S has some annoying interior rattling and suspension squeaking. Scheduled service appointment and see if that could be fixed.
Sorry to hear your service experience. Although my first SC went well, I am still worried about the risk of getting unwanted damage when trying to fix minor issues like rattling/squeaking on my R1S. Sometimes I wonder perhaps it is better to live with those little issues since they are still...
same for my R1S: squeaking suspension (or damper) over bumps at low speed. Anybody took the vehicle in, or had the mobile service looked at the squeaking issue and got fixed? or just learn to live with that?
The efficiency depends on many things but I agree that the mileage of R1S is less stellar. I only managed to get ~2 miles/kwh for mixed road usage in the mild Texas climate for my R1S quad.
Update: got a call back and ordered the compact spare tire at $483.xx including the mobile service labor.
called trying to order a compact spare tire but was told they need to submit a ticket request first to get the $450 pricing. The tire also needs to be installed by mobile service team...
The images and videos do not look like there are significant issues to me. When I picked up my R1S, there was some minor misalignment, a small dent, and some water mark/spots.
