My R1S was parked in garage for a week and today I found a small puddle of oil under the front end of vehicle. Also saw oil dripping from front axle area.
The oil seems to be colorless and odorless. Is it oil leak from drive unit, or hydraulic fluid leak from suspension? Thoughts? Rather...
The gap looks ok so it is really up to you if you want to go through a service appointment to get it fixed. Perhaps wait to see if there are other small issues so you can combine them into one service visit.
My R1S has a slight whistling wind noise on highway when recirculation mode is on. My preferred solution? just turn off the recirculation mode. I know it is no ideal but I feel it is better than keeping asking service center to make repair and potentially cause more issues down the road.
Same thought here. The rest of 3 tires were still touching the ground so should be able to provide enough traction and climb over. Although I have never taken my R1S to offroad, I think either R1S or R1T should not have any problem with this incline.
I found it is bothering that a faulty charging wiring harness would cause the vehicle inoperable and have to be towed for service. Seems to be some overengineering here.
Those issues OP described could be annoying but they are rather minor. The AC on my R1S is loud and the air compressor does run from time to time and air suspension tends to adjust itself often.
I got ~ 2miles/kwh efficiency with the 22 inch tires in a 50:50 mixed road and I am not an aggressive driver at all. As such, it is hard for me to pick the 20 inch all terrain tires due to its even lower efficiency.
Other than the battery coolant leak, the rest are relatively minor items. I am also taking my R1S in for 2nd SC appointment for interior rattling and suspension squeaking. The quality of Rivian could be better and that is something I hope they will continue to improve.
