Agreed. Maybe pressure isn't the right word. Contact would be more accurate.
I was using it again today and I'll say it doesn't inspire as much confidence as the Tesla autopilot. Could be the amount of times it has disengage vs miles driven.
Same experience at the Fortuna chargers! Only one there and I pulled in with 7% SOC and had breakfast at the restaurant in the shopping center. 205kw was what I saw on the app and by the time we finished breakfast I was above 80%. Screen shot of the charger showed 216kw and 108kw delivered...
Realistically I'd love just a nice place to sit and maybe get a good coffee. Sure the mega center would be great but I was in Kettleman today at the only 2 CCS chargers there while walking into the Tesla lounge to hang and wait.
Truck wouldn't connect to EA chargers so I thought it was them not the truck. Drove to a shell power station and same issue. Wouldn't initiate charge. Moved to a second unit near the 6.7kwh charger just in case and did the hard reset. Plugged back in to the DC charger and it started charging...
I just completed 1000 miles in two days and I can say that EA needs to get on these unavailable chargers. The bad is they show working on the App but fail to charge. Called EA support to reset the units and still wouldn't initiate. Tried with a CC and still nothing. The person on the phone...
I had to look it up my pellet grill only needs 300amps. Rivian bed plus can support 5 times that. So yes, I could have smoked them. This sounds like the next adventure...
So I did a bit of off-roading yesterday and after decided to try the spare tire storage as a cooler.
I popped in 60lbs of ice and it easily could have been doubled. I pulled the plug before bed to start draining it and this AM I was shocked to see whole ice still in it.
Going to test this...
I just did a 400 mile trip yesterday and on 2 occasions driver plus just flashed red and gave me control back. (SoCal major freeways) One was under construction so I understand that.
It ping pongs the lanes more than the Tesla and requires more hand pressure or you get warnings.
I'm...
Sure did. Aired down to south of 35psi then before I left the park aired up back to 48. It's super convenient too. Was able to air up our other car Friday night just by parking behind the rivian. The air hose is the perfect length.
I was headed home and had some time to kill. Always wanted to try the 4X4 practice track and today was the day. First thing, the trip over the grapevine north in conserve mode wasn't as bad for range than I expected. 46 miles at 75mph netted 1.8mi/kwh.
Now onto the off-road practice center...
Kneel mode is the bomb. I was manually doing it by putting it into conserve as I enter the work lot.
Haven't noticed anything else from the update yet as it's only been one day.
I'd love to be able to mute the door locked chirp and lower the volume of the turn signal sound. Both a bit too loud especially since my truck opens if I go to the kitchen with my phone......
Got it too. Might take them a minute to answer the call in to schedule as they are experiencing extremely high call volume!
I can't imagine they won't be able to knock the torque check in a half hour or less.
Well my guide gave me an estimate to when the truck should arrive at the service center. Apparently rail shipping doesn't have tracking....
If I had to do it again I would just call the service center with your vin and ask. Or do what I did and drive by it twice and wonder if the blue one...
Long beach CA here. I see the same 4 around town. Two launch green and my exact twin. On the 405 there is at least 2 a week.
What i can't get use to is how many people gawk at it. Stopped at a red light and stares. People walking across crosswalks, necks turn.
