I’m no Tesla / Elon fan, but the Apple Music integration they’ve done is lightyears ahead of Rivian. Supports multiple profiles? Check. Resume song where it left off when you enter? Check (nearly immediately I might add).
My mobile service for tomorrow was cancelled, as expected. They want me to bring it in to the shop another time so they can “properly” diagnose it.
I still don’t understand how a company that prides themselves as a software company that makes cars can’t remotely pull log data from the multiple...
I’ve seen enough individual unique situations posted between this forum, Reddit and FB that I’m starting to get disappointed that Rivian isn’t acknowledging the issues like they have in the past. It still may be a small percentage impacted but starting to feel bigger.
Some glitches started with the update that introduced Apple Music, mainly around proximity locking. Then the screen glitched once or twice.
Now after the latest update, it’s gone bonkers entirely. Basically doing a full vehicle reset every day. Service (mobile) scheduled for Wednesday, not...
Interesting. Probably would have been good to point that out.
I’m not excusing Rivian from the bad practices - and certainly there are plenty to choose from (many of which publicly criticize them for) but I also think it’s weird to wait 3+ years and then complain. Of all the things Rivian...
I am fairly confident they did the presets to try and address the drifting, without actually resolving the issue fully. There was a bug fix that mentioned that but ours still drift too. The same with the seat and steering wheel positions - rather than fix it, they just gave the ability for us...
We’re having this issue and have tried a soft reset, hard reset, deleting and re-adding home location, disabling and re-enabling proximity locking and still bugging out. Sigh.
I wish they had implemented the ability to change user logins when the driver profile changes from the start. This will be annoying now but I guess something is better than nothing.
Also, with a paid subscription, expectations run higher…with free services it’s a little easier to brush off...
I’ve still not decided whether it’s a good thing or bad thing that they haven’t faced more (any?) lawsuits on this. It must violate at least two easy statutes (lemon for most states and deceptive advertising).
On one hand everyone loves their R1T enough to wait for 2+ years. On the other...
For one, I’ll bet there’s more than 1 post on here from someone who signs up and then posts that they can’t get their new Apple Music to work on their car. ?
Also now the trials don’t align - obviously not an issue for existing subscribers but it’s a weird experience for a new subscriber to...
Here’s a new one for us. Rear light bar squeaks like crazy with the slightest movement when driving even over some of the most smooth roads. Recreated by applying light pressure to either side of the light bar.
I removed it to clean it and make sure it wasn’t just dirt. Before adding felt...
Do yall just…sit on the vehicle screen? Ours is always either on music or nav. I go to the vehicle screen for about 15 seconds to change a setting, then back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Some of yall take yourselves way too seriously.
I’m whatever about the return policy going away, but they need to drop the non-refundable deposit shtick. They don’t have enough demand to warrant that requirement, and they don’t have enough options to have any risk in an “unique” order spec being unwanted if the initial buyer doesn’t take...
