I have the OEM Pirelli Scorpion HL275/50 R22 116H All Season Tires. Does it look like I need to replace these? The outer edge of the tread looks shallower than the tread on the inside part of the tire, but look at how much tread is still left above perpendicular tire-wear indicator bar, If you...
Maybe you have to park the R1 a ways away from your campsite. Also it’s a contingency plan, If your R1 breaks down while on a camping trip, you’ll be getting a rental that does not have an electrical outlet. This actually happened to us on our first cross-country camping road trip.
We were considering the Nuwave induction cooktop but landed on Gionen from Amazon. It’s very low profile, one-inch off the table. They’re all made in China, so there’s that.
My wife found a set of induction cookware called Carote; it’s nice because the handles detach and are interchangeable...
If they meet equal specs, it shouldn't be a problem.
Actually, a couple of people on here recommended the 115 rating instead of the 116 as long as I wasn’t towing.
What’s especially useful is if you take computers on the trip, the portable battery does a much better job of keeping them charged. The onboard USB-C ports are too weak.
Thanks to the OP and contributers for this thread. Out R1S is at 25,000 miles and my wife and I were just talking today about needing to replace the tires before we take our Chicago to Cape Cod trip this summer.
my rear tires are worn down more on the outer treads. Does anyone know what would...
Induction cooktops are the best, IMHO. I don’t especially want to carry flammable gas cylinders in my R1S. Also the nice thing about induction is that, many are very lightweight and low profile, so easy to carry into a hotel room if on a trip and want to do your own cooking. I decided to get a...
Exactly. Sorry, but Rivian doesn’t deserve a 180kWH pack if it can only charge at 220kW. You can only benefit from this size if you do 200 - 250 mile roadtrips with a destination charger at the end.
I thought I remembered building a R1S Tri Motor Large Pack? Now I see only Max is an option? Did Large Pack used to be available in the Tri or am I going crazy?
Yes, they are an established manufacturer well known in industry. In fact my employer is a supplier to Amphenol. A2Z is not (well known & established) although I think they make a great adapter.
I’m beside myself because I was able to lease a 2024 R1S Quad Gen 1 (got in during the Q1 2024 lease deal) for what was for me an affordable price.
now, when I price out a comparable Tri-Motor (Quad not available yet) the monthly lease payments are about $350
- $400 higher than my current one...
I am so glad you asked this question. We invested a lot of time into researching this set fall. We had a dinner engagement out of state that both my wife and I would need to attend together. We have a 17 year old cocker spaniel (who is now blind and deaf) who travels everywhere with us, we can’t...
