  1. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

I haven't had any issues of it coming out of the channel, but it's stuffed in there pretty good with the other cable. The first magnetic adapter is the one I use. I like it because the round orientation gives a little more freedom to align it when putting it back up on the windshield, and the...
  2. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

Just posted a new YT video talking about Openpilot Driving Models, but more importantly, I'm giving away that Hansshow wireless charger. If you want to enter for a chance to win it, just comment and subscribe. I'll be giving it away on livestream on July 31st.
  3. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

    1. I've had it slow down for curves for me while in normal OP Long operation, but I don't know if it's actually a feature or not, or it was doing it for some other reason. 2. That's a common complain which is why I use MADS mode for local traffic 95% of the time. 3. Don't use Experimental Mode...
  4. No ADAS in Accessory mode

If you want ADAS while towing, a Comma might be your best bet.
  5. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

It is required for the main branch of Sunnypilot, but you can use OP Long with onscreen buttons using one of the xnor-tech UI branches like xnor-tech/sunny-mads-buttons-ui
  6. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

Are you using Lukas' upgrade kit? Yes, toggle that on and you should get all the benefits of Lukas' upgrade kit.
  7. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

Are you using the Rivian's ACC right now when you're driving or OP Long? Sounds like you may not have Openpilot Longitudinal toggled on in the developer menu.
  8. Engaging cruise control in stop and go traffic?

The ACC activation signal is required to activate Openpilot for us Comma users which is one of the reasons why we're keen on trying to find a reliable way to activate below 20mph.
  9. Comma AI/OpenPilot Update -- Watch it in Action on Gen1 Rivian (Video)

The simple way to understand this is that both Comma and Lukas sell a version of the wiring harness to connect the Comma3X to the Rivian. They are virtually identical EXCEPT that Lukas' harness has the secondary port for the upgrade kit already BUILT-IN to the harness. That makes the upgrade...
  10. Engaging cruise control in stop and go traffic?

It still engages on ACC activation, so it can still be an issue depending on the situation. It does help knowing what the factors are to activate it below 20mph.
  11. Engaging cruise control in stop and go traffic?

100%. The ACC was definitely not built for stop and go. One of the reasons I really wanted to switch to OP Longitudinal on the Comma.
  12. Engaging cruise control in stop and go traffic?

It definitely engages at 20+ no problem. I've never had a problem engaging at 20mph+ even without lane lines or a lead car.
  13. Engaging cruise control in stop and go traffic?

Well then mine must be defective because it definitely doesn't do this. I hit this traffic coming home every day and if I'm not paying attention and forget to engage ACC before I slow down below 20mph, I CANNOT engage ACC even though there's clearly a vehicle in front of me. Sometimes the...
  14. Engaging cruise control in stop and go traffic?

It won't engage under 20mph even with a vehicle in front of you.
  15. Comma Ai installing issues

If you want to try the other harness in your R1T at some point, let me know.
  16. Parallel Parking Assist - When?

It'll never happen on a Gen 1. Wouldn't be surprised to see it on a Gen 2 eventually.
  17. Comma Ai installing issues

Another weird thing was the way it was giving us errors - like constant recurring error chimes like the errors were popping off and then back on. The reason I think it might be a bad harness is because the alerts stopped sounding as soon as I unplugged the car-side AXM cable from the harness...
  18. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

I would say yes only because the xnor-tech branches won't be updated or maintained any more.
  19. My day-two review of the Comma 3X Self Driving Camera for Gen1 R1- Promising, but not ready for laymen.

That's all been merged into master as well as of today so try: sunnypilot/staging-c3-new
