  1. Secondary Wall Charger Recommendation?

Same here. I bought the Telsa Univeral charger. And, a locking cabinet to put it in. Will set a weekly rate for renters that is reasonable, like $35 or something.
  2. slower charging due to warm plug

This is the way. I use a Tesla wall charger as well. The thermo sensor in the handle is sensitive. When sitting in the sunshine, above 80 degrees it will go about 20 minutes at 48A before de-rating itself to something like 32A or 24A. The flashing lights indicate the derate due to temperature...
  3. Will Gen 1 R1 Owners be upgrading?

Hell no. I'm gonna drive Yoda at least 15 years, as is my habit with all my trucks. Unless I total'em first.
  4. Such a bummer that I can't power my house with this massive battery.

They have announced support for this, coming s00n. I think it is basically DC out from the Rivian to a big ass inverter to turn it into AC.
  5. Bluetooth pairing not working for music or calls now

Do an infotainment reset, also known as a soft reset. If that doesn't work do a full reset.
  6. R1 Gen 2 Vampire drain - what's the battery % loss people are getting?

My G1 R1T DM loses 1-2 kwh per day. I don't even notice it and I certainly wouldn't sell the truck over it.
  7. Can I use this charger?

Not sure what your definition of "super slow charging" is. This is level 2 charging. Use the Rivian mobile charger at 32 amps, and that's anything but "super slow". 16 miles of charge per hour. Mobile charger guide: Portable Charger Guide (rivian.com)
  8. Drop charging

This happens to me with a Tesla wall charger, due to the heat. I find if I start it at 32A, not 48A, it will continue to charge at that level.
  9. How much pulling force can the accessory ports take?

The obvious answer is to buy another Rivian, and string the hammock between the crossbars between them.
  10. Absolutely Bizarre Charging Experience in Norfolk

Step 1 - Get the NACS adapter working and practice with it. Step 2 - Go to www.tesla.com/nacs and find the chargers it works at. Step 3 - Get plugshare, and ABRP to help plan. I make that trip kind of regularly. The Tesla SC in Chesapeake off 168, south of where you were, is usually sorta...
  11. What is Connect+?

No mention of SiriusXM as a streaming service... Whatever happened to that? About the hotspot... Gen1 is probably not 5G capable, but what about Gen2? The LTE hotspot doesn't have that much value for me, I don't think I have ever used it. I wonder how fast it is with 2 or 3 teenagers on it. I...
  12. Tip when updating vehicle software: eject/disconnect your gear guard/storage external/usb-c drive first

As an IT guy I have no idea what you are referring to as a sop for unplugging USB devices during upgrades.
  13. Adaptive Cruise Control and speed limit zones

My Gen1 reads the standard speed limit signs. It does not read the temporary ones that are lights, and some other odd formats.
  14. R1T compatible USB type c port splitter(s)

For $70 you get two extra ports, assuming you don't use the wireless charger. Seems like a decent deal to me.
  15. New graphics language in the app

I was talking about the app on my phone, not the truck. Should probably reset as you suggest occasionally anyway.
  16. New graphics language in the app

It does on mine. Something is weird though. When I only select "EA" in the filters and apply them, I get the "something went sideways" message. But, it still displays the EA chargers (even the one that just burned up a R1T in Richmond VA).
