I have noticed RAN locations around my usual routes (CA) are a mix of NACS and CCS plugs these days so having an adapter on hand will mean you can use any of the plugs at those locations in the future. Also congrats on the new Rivian!
Thanks for the replies - I didn’t realize the stalk could deactivate auto-high for the drive session which is good enough for me so I will do that moving forward. Happy new year and all!
I got on the road early yesterday in heavy fog and put all fogs on for safety. The auto high beams were also active and came on a few times shining right back in my face off the fog. Does anyone else experience this? I like the auto high beams in non-foggy conditions and I don’t think it’s...
I have used high regen for two and a half years with no acceleration of tire wear - still on OEM ATs at 27K miles and should get 30K out of them. Seems about right to me. Clearly something is wrong with your truck I would keep at it with service until they fix it.
I had this same thought a year ago when we got a R1T loaner and took it on our Thanksgiving week trip to the Sierras - the kids booting up while sitting on the gear tunnel hatches. Stashing slushy gear in the tunnel or bed. Hauling some stuff to the dump when I was back home. So practical...
I also notice most of the things in this 12-month review - I am about 30 months in myself. To me it seems that a “recommend or not-recommend” should take into account who you’re talking to. If someone is coming from a BMW X5 used for freeway commuting and weekend trips to soccer games I...
Brake lights that come on just because someone is not accelerating is a dumb idea. So what are you all proposing here? A different deceleration standard? If you think the standard is set inappropriately write a letter.
Not just you - this exactly - and in our E92 BMW M3 lifting off the...
2 years and 26K miles of mostly road trips to the snow and dirt and the paint still looks great (glacier white R1S). I wash it at home but I live dangerously and use just one bucket and mitt! I will spray on some bug remover a few minutes before washing if the front looks really bad as we all...
Some older adventure vehicles like the OG Land Rover Defenders were made to be more or less water resistant inside to the extent you could hose them out after getting them muddy forging rivers and such. The materials were selected accordingly and the tech in those vehicles was WWII era. The...
the loud bang in my case was the hatch and roof trim interfering with each other. It was only an issue in warm/hot weather I assume because the plastic expands just enough to interfere. Had it fixed at a service visit. I took a video and opened a ticket and service realigned either the hatch...
For two years of ownership my experience has been that there is a delay and often I have to set whatever I’m holding down and tap the screen on my phone which seems to wake up both the phone and the car. Been same for 3 iPhones and I have deleted the old paaks when setting up the new ones...
Agreed on EA being better these days. I have used EA quite a bit on road trips over the past year with no issues. The Tesla plugs that come up in the ABRP/Rivian trip planner all have been great too.
