I believe that R1 Launch editions came with different wheel/tire options... but I wasn't around then so I can't confirm.

It's better than the Model Y at 3,500lbs. And really, a number being specific is less suspect to me - means there's been enough testing. There's some pretty interesting trailers out there that are under 4,400lbs gross, so it's not a totally bad number.
