And this is new - when I looked at my configuration in the app I was asked to "Review and Confirm" - which I did. Still no email.
Update: Got an email about an hour later with the subject "A Seamless Process to Purchase Your Rivian".
I just read this thread...saw that the OP was more than a year after me and same location...fired up my Rivian app to send an email to CS...and I have a guide! Damn...the number of times I've checked for a guide over the last year and there it is. No email yet though.
I have to wonder how much the lack of trusted communications plays into this. As members on this forum (true, a subset of early orders) chase the configuration that they think will get built...Rivian may see that and think "hey, demand is for X let's build that" and deprioritize other options...
Yes - thinking exactly this. I don't really need the 3 rows of the SUV, but had really wanted the back area (air conditioned!) for our dogs. Since it's been 3.5 years since I put down my deposit, our dogs passed...and we have a new dog...and I've transitioned to one of those second row hammocks...
For a while there we had Friday updates. And Tony seemed to be establishing some rhythm. Since April, though, emails have tended to be on Thursday - or perhaps Saturday...and of course we haven't seen anything (yet) this week. And we haven't heard from Tony in more than a month.
Every time it...
Also - I am generalizing but think I'm on pretty firm ground here - literally every female on the planet would prefer an Apple interface over whatever one-off thing Rivian engineers dream up. Maybe that's not relevant to the boomer alpha-males on this forum :) but when I'm driving with my wife...
I didn't care about Car Play until this past week. We rented a Nissan for a family trip to the Grand Canyon...navigated to Sedona via iPhone...and then I plugged a USB cable in to charge...and magically the Nissan had maps...then unplugged...couldn't find maps in the UI...and then I figured out...
Ah - you have an R1T - ironically one of the reasons I switched from T to S is because of what I thought was a poor tonneau cover.
R1Ts are steadily being delivered - this thread is specifically about the R1S and we have seen zero actual customer deliveries - so initial contacts about the R1S...
I was there earlier this week to look at colors with my wife (expecting to have to make a quick decision next month for an early R1S). I would say there were quite a few more than 20...did you see the upper lot? There was an Amazon van there - first I've seen. We were allowed to stand at the...
Looks good - I too don't have my R1S yet (sOOn) yet I'd love to have one of these charger brackets. But I have the even larger 12 Pro Max (and a company 13 Pro Max) though I have slimmer ORIbox bumpers. Maybe I should bite the bullet and buy a 3D printer...what's the maximum dimension of your...
I have the Yakima Backswing and like it a lot (on my GX, still waiting on a R1S...).
FWIW, I read somewhere that the Kuat is a rebranded KakAttach. Thule had a Swing-Away but it seems like they aren't making that anymore (it's not on their site).
What I found odd about the body on frame were the beads of sealant between them. First of all, the beads were not at all consistent with some large gaps. But what I really found curious was how the beads were squeezed out at the fastenings but completely proud and intact at other points. Makes...
