They indeed might start building (customer, not employee) cars in October. But I'm also a February 2019 reservation and they told me August-September for my R1S LE and I'm willing to believe that they - as of last weekend - believed that they would make that window. Yeah, they've missed every...
Looks interesting...what the heck is that diving board thing out the back? Looks problematic. They mention a rain catchment system off the tent (not sure I'd want that anyway).
I just went through this with the electrician doing my install (going to put a 100amp subpanel in the garage). In WA state by making this an EV install (panel, junction, etc) it's exempt from 10% sales tax. I'm adding a couple of outlets in the garage and have to pay tax on just the delta for...
More than that - I don't think you'd want to wrestle a 70-80 lb bike up there. My (Aventon Aventure - about $2k) also doesn't have a quick release skewer and a quick grovel of the web indicates QR skewers are rare on ebikes. They all have kickstands though :)
My initial - like 2 second impression - was, yeah I could want ARB bar. Then the images themselves...not to my taste. I suspect that something will emerge for these vehicles but I hope it's going to be thoughtful and take into account the all of the comments above. There is likely _something_...
Well it also turns on/off the courtesy lights in the rear - except they didn't during my First Mile drive and then the entire thing locked up. So...they could have just put a switch on the lights and punted on the entire thing.
I would have made different design decisions.
Uh, yeah - my 16yo GX470 has driver / passenger / rear. Really hate losing functionality - and thinking "dog" mode is gonna be disappointing if they think the "dog" is left or right side.
To be fair, the OP said they just relocated to the PNW. It _appears_ the solution is to...never move or leave your home area so you don't _need_ navigation. ;)
Somewhere in another thread we saw the body stamping in this area - it sits under what would be a package shelf behind the rear seat headrests. I imagine that someone creative could cut down into that area and line it and perhaps turn it into storage for small to medium-sized items.
Agree with all the above comments - I expect the S to be less troublesome than the T. No tonneau in particular, but I also noticed rust on some tailgate bolts during my First Mile test (likely addressed but still - more stuff out in the weather). The switches in the bed rail...I'm a bit leery of...
My R1S order has OC interior - we did our First Mile in FE. Honestly, I'm not in love with any of the configurations as shown in the configurator. If BM is more dark grey...I can live with that.
What I REALLY want is a lighter dash, headliner, and perhaps doors so the interior doesn't seem...
