  1. Installed tinted PPF on my sunroof rather than window tint

75mph? Not effective at all. But in most cases, you are driving into them as they have fallen going the same direction as you, so some speed between 0 and 75mph, i would guess?
  2. Installed tinted PPF on my sunroof rather than window tint

Honestly, anything that could dull a pointy impact or slow a forceful impact would help in my opinion.
  3. Installed tinted PPF on my sunroof rather than window tint

Just took another rock to the windshield, your PPF product can't come soon enough....
  4. RJ Scaringe loses some voting control after divorce settlement

100% Watching space Karen interact with his kids (or lack thereof) at all the unveiling events over the last decade was heartbreaking. Zero surprise they don't want anything to do with him as they each grow older.
  5. 2025.22 Update - Release Notes

I had no idea it didn't used to be a problem. I just assumed the mountain driving exasperated what was already there.
  6. 2025.22 Update - Release Notes

Driving through WV mountains, it was just constant clunking. I was just waiting to see the mechanism eject onto the road in my rear view. Hot garbage is what it is. Snow mode would have been a better option and just charged an extra 5 min.
  7. Upgraded the sub in R1S with aftermarket Alpine SWR-T10 Subwoofer

Timeout, did you already have premium audio (factory subwoofer)? Because my tests 6 months ago didn't have anything coming from the subwoofer connector on a vehicle without premium audio. If they changed that, fantastic.
  8. Automated Settings Macros - Request for Ideas

100% on folding the mirrors. I currently use home assistant to trigger the garage automatically and it works way better than the Tesla or Rivian ever did because I can run a logic check on if the garage is already up or down. If we could just expose the mirror folding command in the API, Rivian...
  9. Automated Settings Macros - Request for Ideas

I'd just like the screen to stay on the f****** rear camera all the time unless I tell it otherwise. The settings stating this very feature don't do jack. Oh, and nix the backup lines! Why do I need them displayed when I'm going 70mph down the highway???
  10. California's ban on ICE vehicles has been blocked

Unless it's solid state batteries, then I'm not as hopeful. Ten years ago we thought the same thing. We had an 18650 with 3400ah of energy, now we have a 21700 with 5200ah. I don't think that's incredible, although certainly an improvement, and a step in the right direction. As for the other...
  11. 50 Amp extension cord - ok?

So, A. I'm using one right now and have done so for a number of years. And, B. I usually drop the amperage if it's a campsite/RV hookup. Often by 50% since we will be there for multiple days. Commenting anyway on your prohibition comment, it's so weird. I've seen it as just general anti-EV...
  12. 2026 Quad Max EPA Certification w/ specs (range, capacity, etc.)

800v isn't going to sink or swim anyone. You think any more than 5% of EV owners can even recall what voltage their EV is?? If it makes you feel better, the max pack is over 450v and the EV9 is something line 650v. Those are "claimed" to be 400v and 800v respectively.
  13. Be careful using “Prepare for fast charging”

This is because LiNmc batteries are happiest in the 70's with regards to defecation. See Jeff Dahns video; Edit: Degradation
  14. Be careful using “Prepare for fast charging”

Timeout, I thought batteries had lower resistance at higher temps so that's what preconditioning is about? ie. Faster charging
  15. Quad Motor Rivian R1 with NACS Gen 2 Teaser (MKBHD)

Wait until you have to pay for staggard tires. Looking at you Tesla Arachnids....
  16. Quad Motor Rivian R1 with NACS Gen 2 Teaser (MKBHD)

None. To begin with, very few "800v" cars are actually 800 volt. And we lack a charging network wholy ready for it, and the Rivian thermals couldn't keep up anyway. Soooo.... ....down vote away.
