Ok. I am now currently charging at the EA station in Albertville, MN.
I first tried using the EA app to initiate a charge and get my membership rate. It worked. I opened the app, selected station 1, swiped to start, then plugged in. I got the membership rate of $0.48 per kWh

I will second what the OP mentioned. I just got my first set of All Terrain tires after decades of standard all seasons. I find them pretty unpleasant. If, like us, you are thinking of giving them a go beware of the downsides. I have two sets of wheels and tires. I will put the All Terrain...
I’ve owned 2 R1T’s. A combined 85,000 miles with no issues. I’ve driven from Minnesota to both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts of Canada with no hesitation or problems.
That said. I’m 10 minutes from my local service center. Even with my good history with Rivian being 6 hours away would be...
In August I drove from the US through Quebec and used Flo and Cirque Electric without issue. By using the app.
electrify Canada and Tesla also worked for me in Canada
I find your Defender comments interesting. I’ve seen a lot of posts here about them, generally positive posts. But when I look at the rankings on discount tire they perform worse than the OEM in all measures but cost. I’ve been happy with the OEM all season tires getting 35,000 miles out of...
Dec 5, 2025 Update:
I've had a chance to do some cold, snow, and Ice driving on the Outpost nAT tires. Time for an update;
EFFICENCY:
In my original post I reported on a big loss in efficiency with the Outpost nAT tires. But that efficiency hit is much less at cold temperatures! I'm...
I just put 20” Outpost nAT on my R1T. 2000
Miles on them. First all terrain tires I’ve ever had. Not really pleased with them. The range loss (15 to 18%), noise, vibration and overall worse driving dynamics are a high price for me to pay. I got them for some very specific vacation travel...
In a garage. Trip would usually start within several hours of completing a level 2 charge so the battery was still warm from that. This data is from a 3 hour trip. 3 hours is long enough that small-ish differences in battery temperatures do not matter too much. But, to your point, the...
Just understand the loss in efficiency vs temperature and plan accordingly.
I’ve been keeping track for 3 years, my observed percent loss in efficiency vs temperature is shown below. This is for a long trip. Short trips will be worse.
It can be VERY tight. And mine got worse after a few uses to the point I could not get it off. I just abandoned it still connected to the Tesla cable. I'm now using the Rivian supplied one and I find that one a better overall design.
i will amend slightly. People who live in the northern third of the country want to drive east and west but charging companies are making that difficult. From the perspective of a northerner it seems like the south is being carpet bombed with chargers while the north is largely ignored.
I've had an early build Gen 1 R1T. First pickup I've ever owned. Fabulous experience over 2 years and 55,000 miles. Traded in for a Gen 2 R1T which now has 25,000 miles on it.
Rivian all the way. 80,000 trouble free miles. When the R2 comes out we will be an all Rivian household.
