Has anyone made progress on using an OBD with the Rivian? I saw a few posts a while back where a few members were looking into it but didn't see any recent updates. Using and OBD with something like TrackAddict might yield some really interesting telemetry (amount of power to each wheel etc.)
The short answer is that I don't think the underbody shield is necessary for the majority of Rivian owners who plan to go off-road but don't plan to do extreme rock crawling etc.
The longer answer is that I debated getting one or not and finally decided to get one based on feedback from...
Has anyone come across a detailed overview of what the different driving modes actually do? This question has a bit more to it than it may appear at first glance. I've heard in various reviews/posts from conversations with Rivian folks that in certain modes power is restricted to X% for...
I'll add giving this a try to the menu on our next off road adventure. I saw the option there but didn't actually engage it so far so thanks for providing detail on what it does.
I believe you. Honestly I haven't had a chance to lift any of the tires so I can't comment on their weight but they definitely look on the hefty side. Another question (which Papa asked above I believe) is the 'jacking' experience when off road. I've seen the jack pucks etc. but as yet...
I think it's a fair concern, especially when travelling on these really rough roads. I've been surprised at how robust the 22" have been and (knock on wood) we haven't had any issues. That being said one unlucky jagged rock could probably change that situation in a hurry. At present the only...
Over the past several weeks I've had the opportunity to take our R1S on a number of 'adventures' on some pretty rough back roads here in Washington State so I figured I would share a short review of my experiences. I'd estimate about 100-150 miles or so of driving in what most people would...
First let me say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I take no responsibility whatsoever for any choice you do or don't make based on my color feedback. :) With that caveat let the dispensation of opinion on colors commence...
Like you we vacillated between many of the color choices...
Had the opportunity to go for a beautiful drive in the Pacific Northwest with the family and pooch today. Stopped for lunch at a place with a sloped parking lot. Wanted to make sure pooch was as comfy as possible while we went inside and ate so fired up camp mode auto leveling and turned on pet...
If it was like the US then the first trucks are typically for employees etc. so that the local service center can get some 'wrench time' with the vehicles. It might be different in this case however as the vehicles have been in market a bit longer so these could actually be customer vehicles...
I plan on attending and thanks for organizing Pappa! If you don't mind I'll link to your original post on the Seattle Rivian Owners Facebook group as well.
I am in the process of working with a design and production firm here in Seattle to get some made. If you are interested in providing input into the process feel free to DM me.
I'll put it out there that I've been working with a design and production company here in Seattle on some running boards/sliders (among other things) for the Rivian's. If you are looking for something that's shipping tomorrow then the timing probably not going to line up, but if your timing is...
