  1. R1T HV battery replacement after 25,000 miles

The experience is definitely YMMV. Sometimes, you have to fuss a bit more but overall, Rivian tries to make it right.
  2. Trying to not take the R1T for granted

It also shows how good the regen braking on the R1T is. I charged to 100% right before leaving on my road trip and with regen non-existent, felt like trying to stop an aircraft carrier.
  3. Trying to not take the R1T for granted

It was incredibly entertaining for me to allow the small, sports cars a gap into corners and then respond with all 800+ horsepower post apex.
  4. Trying to not take the R1T for granted

Sadly, I don't drive my GT4 daily. I've got to be in a certain mood to drive it as it's a very raw and loud driving experience and the suspension does not handle any potholes at all. Again, at how good the R1T is, it is hands down the car I would pick to drive every single day. It's...
  5. Trying to not take the R1T for granted

The 4Runner's heydays were with the 3rd gen. The 4Runner has progressively gotten bigger with no meaningful transmission, suspension or engine updates. I drove a 2022 Tacoma last year as a rental and hated every ***cking minute of it. Transmission was laggy and couldn't make up it's mind, engine...
  6. 11/3 Manual Tonneau Cover Update

april 2023 delivery, cover shipped in September. Doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason.
  7. Can we appreciate Rivian a little more?

I LOVE my Rivian. I also realize I'm an early adopter and willing to put up with things...like driving from Charlotte to Nashville while taking time off for service that most people wouldn't be willing to put up with.
  8. Upgrading the Rivian horn -- how-to DIY video

Probably not but the problem with this current horn is that it's essentially missing a whole register and sounds "whimpy" and not necessarily a noise that we associate as a "horn." I've thought a many of times of doing this upgrade but it should easily be programmable for this?
  9. Upgrading the Rivian horn -- how-to DIY video

So here's a legit question. If Rivian can change the lock tone, couldn't they theoretically augment the horn with the existing outward facing speakers on the truck?
  10. GM delays EV pickup production by a year to 2025

I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you.
  11. Customer Satisfaction Campaign -- Overfilled Refrigerant System may cause poor air conditioning / battery cooling (slower level 3 charging)

Huh. Learn something new everyday. I just assumed you suck out the refrigerant and then put back in a known amount.
  12. Customer Satisfaction Campaign -- Overfilled Refrigerant System may cause poor air conditioning / battery cooling (slower level 3 charging)

I tried making an appointment with Atlanta as I'm coming from Charotte and there's nothing available til December. While I know this isn't a critical issue, it feels insane that I have to wait 2 months to get service and it seems to be a reoccurring theme with Rivian. As they get more popular...
  13. Literally the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

It’s a fantastic little speaker but I would have preferred a drawer/storage bin as base with a speaker as a paid upgrade.
  14. Literally the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Camping with the R1T the first time, truck was able to carry all the gear and have my rice cooker and air fryer going for dinner. That is all
  15. Rear ended. Warranty + repair shop nightmares

Appreciate the reply. I live in the Carolinas so everyone around here drives like they are in "Mad Max" the movie and am also 4 hours away from the nearest service center. If there are preventative things I can do to avoid minor repairs, I'm all for it.
