FWIW, the UV rejection in the glass roof seems to be better than my previous Tesla Y. This is coming from my scientific testing of feeling how hot the top of my head gets. I did tint the front two windows as well as do UV rejection for my windshield.
I think Rivian has a chance to a follow a stock curve similar to Tesla once the R2 is established. It's still a risky play but the legacy automakers continue to seem to be blindsighted by the EV revolution up until recently and even then, I don't think they fully understand what it takes to...
I would agree to disagree. With the market that Rivian is generally after, it seems to be the "Patagonia" crowd and practicing responsible environmentalism instead of the Space Karen trying to blast off to Mars.
American car culture is really interesting. I absolutely love my R1T but it's large and can be rather hard to park. I've seen plenty of Golfs and wagons with long 2 x 4 sticking out them in Europe and I've always wondered if it was because if they viewed the car as more of a "utility" and/or...
It's also mind blowing how he had to manage thermals. He mentioned in an instagram post that he came within 0.2 degrees of the HV battery coming to a thermal shutdown to protect hardware.
I don’t. The Japanese are just about as stubborn as the Germans when it comes to certain things. See Betamax, HD DVD, mini disc, etc. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if they are able to develop something on par with Tesla/Rivian/Polestar. Both the Nissan and Toyota randomly derate during fast...
Every Japanese car company got caught sleeping on the EV front. I get it and I agree with them that EV can't be the only solution but they keep on pushing this hydrogen pipe dream that hasn't gone anywhere. The Nissan Ariya and Toyota BZ4X are shit compared to the offerings that they had...
Like the hydrogen fuel cars coming to market?
I absolutely love my 3rd gen 4Runner but this is absolutely comical coming from a company that gave us the Prius and absolutely dropped the ball on the electrification to Tesla.
The only Toyota EV has at market, the BZ4X, bricked on a youtube...
I get that GM is all in on their “Ultium” line but just figured they would ramp down production why their other EVs ramp up.
and despite all the bad press, the Bolt is still selling well.
i personally don’t like GM so whatever
too cheap? The Chevy Equinox is going to be around the same price. I just figured the smart decision would be to ramp down production while their “ultium” line ramps up. The Bolt is still selling relatively well but what do I know when it comes to running a massive business.
And I always...
