it was changed a few months ago where the underbody came as a package with the 20” AT. I’m not bothered by that change as much as I am about the manual tonneau covers.
Agreed. Highly disappointed with the material choice and slot design. I'm going a completely different route and using the Rivian cross bars with cargo boxes on top in the bed. I did ask for a refund from my guide so we'll see if it gets honored in 4-6 weeks with a check in my mailbox.
GM has been interesting to watch. Saying all the right things but zero progress on the ramp on Ultium. Stellantis isn't even on the same planet in terms of EVs.
Why are we still on this? Had a Tesla for years and not once did I think I needed CarPlay. Rivian's UI isn't perfect but it's far better than the legacy automakers. Really don't think CarPlay is needed.
A transportation system heavily reliant on ICE vehicles and "climate boiling" aren't sustainable either.
I'm a post price hike reservation. Yes, it sucked paying > $90k for this truck but considering the alternatives, I'm happy to try and do my part.
I love the Bolt. I think it's a great car. It's just the whiplash of Mary Barra changing her mind and none of this makes any sense that will continue to hinder GM and potentially bringing more EVs to the market.
The Bolt was initially killed because it wasn't profitable but it was the only...
Further evidence that some of the legacy EVs have no idea what's going on. Out of the big three, I think Ford may be the only one that understands how to build EVs but even then, the F-150 Lightning production ramp has been a bit disappointing. Good news for Rivian IMO.
GM announces a new...
Agreed but right after the IPO, there were still a lot of doubts about the viability of Rivian as a company and as a supplier, if I was given the choice between a legacy car company going into the EV space with a new start up, I would have gone with the former. Rivian's saving grace, IMO, is...
Disagree with pricing. An F150 Raptor starts in the mid 70s, why are we saying that Rivian needs to get the R1 price below $60k? That's what the R2 is for.
