They just don't work well. Apparently they were on, but they never automatically turned off for oncoming vehicles, so I didn't know they existed]
I'm pretty certain he's saying they don't function. Not that he's oblivious to the option on the stalk.
But you should obviously take the writer's comments with as many grains of salt as you see fit to.
Until we have more data points, it's all just 1 person's opinion at a time, unfortunately.
Biggest concerns for me based on this report:
- Tesla-level quality control/gaps etc.
-Phantom Drain of that amount is completely unacceptable
-Terrible navigation. What a surprise. AA/CP yet again showing why it's critical
-No funtioning auto high-beams? I mean, this is entry-level honda...

We're all in the same boat, unfortunately. As I'm sure you've recognized by being such a long (and patient) reservation holder, Rivian's communication is shite.
They've changed their tune on when they'll start contacting people. Customer service is now saying that you won't be contacted until...
Would you mind copying and pasting the content you posted for those of us not on the socials? It's just showing up as a blank white box for me. Thank you kindly.
No worries. It’s hard to keep track of it all. Just wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed something.
I think the website delivery timing feature will apply to all reservations once it is rolled out. But, I’m hopeful those of us in this thread will have our trucks before that ever happens!
At some point Rivian will need to stop over-promising and not delivering.
Missed deadlines over and over and over. Us poor reservation holders have no choice but to put up with it (for now at least). And they've completely taken advantage of that.
Amazon isn't under the same constraints as us.
Yeah, that's definitely a nifty feature. Unfortunately if it doesn't fit in my garage, it's not going to be an option. Rivian fits with about 14" to spare. Full-sized trucks...not so much.
This is Rivian we're talking about here. "Early 2022" really means late 2022, or early 2023, if ever.
Timelines and Rivian do not mesh well together, unfortunately.
