It takes awhile for the effects to be felt. The highway department has to study where they should be put, and then get bids to see who should build them, etc. I know that in Arizona, it is in process, but I don't think anything concrete has happened yet. It'll probably take another year (unless...
I think you are asking about Highway Assist, not Driver+. Using the correct nomenclature would help.

Charge port in the front - either side, but passenger side makes the most sense.
Make the glass roof optional. There are quite a few of us that don't want that expensive, fragile, solar/heat-admitting thing in the roof.
Add clock and odometer onto the driver's screen, and make the fonts large...
If you want to make your customers happy, you'll make your product compatible with the advertised uses (i.e. towing). I've seen many people on these forums who have said that they still keep an ICE vehicle for towing. Forcing your customers to drop the trailer to charge is no way to convince...
FWIW, not all Rivian (RAN) network locations have pull-through chargers. But at many chargers, one can still pull up to a charger without unhitching - if the charge port is in the front (and if the lot isn't busy, or is designed such that one can do it without impeding access to the parking lot...
A) This is a Rivian forum - probably more than "a very tiny fraction of" these EV owners plan to tow.
B) Not everyone has a rig that is so quick to unhitch. And many people have expressed their unwillingness to use an EV for towing, for this very reason.
C) Since I use my truck for work stuff...
I am shocked that anyone who tows would think that any rear charging port is "the right move?" Anything other than front location complicates towing. Anything other than passenger side (or front, in the case of slanted parking) makes streetside charging more difficult or impossible. Tesla will...
Remind them of the joys of waiting hours in a long line for gasoline, when there has been some kind of interruption in deliveries, or is about to be an interruption (e.g. hurricane).
I doubt that VW will have much impact on service. The partnership between Rivian and VW is more about the software, as I understand it. However, the infusion of money might allow Rivian to apply additional funding to service centers and service personnel.
They are not actually "seat coolers" - the seats are ventilated - cabin air is forced through the seats. Cold air from the back seat vents helps to cool the air being forced through the ventilated seats.
But it is still more efficient and cleaner to convert fossil fuels to electricity in a power plant, than to convert fossil fuels to mechanical energy in an ICE vehicle. And, AFAIK, none of those studies that claim an ICE car will cause fewer CO2 emissions than an EV until some large number of...
