Didn't realize they had upgraded Gen 2, but when I first looked at my Gen 1 tierods I thought "damn those are some skinny tie rods for this beast." Quite an odd design choice...
Jumping in here to add my experience. I started with at 24 R1T Dual Motor (non performance) lease, drove for 5k miles, zero acceleration or tire vibes. I even went from OEM 21's to 20's with 34" toyos. Had some vibes at high speed (cruising) but was definitely tire related.
Early this year I...
Thanks for the reply. I just pulled the B pillar trim and there are no such colors running to the rear door, so unfortunately they look to be different. I'm going to have to pull the door panel and speaker and verify on each side. Just started raining, so on hold for now...
Hey yall, reviving this old thread... my apologies if there's a better one to respond to, is so please link... I installed subs/amp in my 22 R1T with Meridian and I'm noticing the same that a few of yall have seen. The factory sub signal is sharply filtered above 60hz. I used a Kicker Keyloc to...
Very happy to hear that they're better over bumps, quieter, and smoother than the OEM. They look even better. I may get these...
Just to check. Did you do a back to back with NEW OEM Pirelli 20's? Or based on memory? My first ride on the OEM 20's was a loaner with 20k, they sounded and felt...
I meant their incentives aren't that great *right now*. In the past they've had good ones. Freinds and Family was big, I got a great deal. Prices are downright astronomical now compared to what I paid. I had hoped the new year would bring better discounts, but they've only gone up. And Jan-Feb...
Didn't know those existed. Great option. I may try those for the back emblem. Of course getting them on straight is another challenge, but probably doable with some care.
Do you have these? Wondering how the quality compares to the factory ones.
I like them a lot, it remains to be seen how well they wear, but I'd say they're a more aggressive, better looking, hopefully longer lasting, and better wearing (noise) alternative to the OEM 20" Pirelli. Here's all my R1T tire experience for comparison....
OEM 21's - dead silent, butter...
Check out the pikes peak video. The G2 quad seems to be extremely lively in the upper end...
I think the acceleration difference at higher speeds on the G2 quad will be significant. As for 0-60, they're pushing the limits of traction.
Didn't even know it was a thing lol. Well, I've seen it on clear wraps, but the regular vinyl videos always show them being put on dry, so I thought that was the only way.
Wheels and mounted tires together. Quantity 4. Local sale only please (come get them), Atlanta area. I loved these but traded in my R1T for a new one which came with the 20" Darks, so I'm keeping those. They're all in excellent shape, no curb rash.
Just over 1200 miles on them.
