I booked a 22 quad with upgraded wheels and all the fixin’s for 67k. “New” less than 100 miles. Where are people finding used for 80% of that with very low mileage? I’m seeing like 63k for 3-5k miles.
Good info from everyone here. 70k is more than I ever expected to pay for a vehicle, no matter where I end up in life. Really can’t stomach 100+, personally. I love my current truck, but regret that it's not a quad. The quad demo I have booked is the color/tire combo I really want, plus the...
I’ve heard about the wind noise. There’s a fix/fixes for that right? My dual is quiet from a wind noise standpoint. Honestly thought the quad motors sounded better. Regen on my dual is loud and unpleasant. Noticed as soon as I drove off the lot.
Good to hear about your experience! I am seeing a lot of folks getting these demos from Richmond. I wonder if Rivian sends them there as a midpoint for the east coast? No way Richmond had dozens of demos in their showroom right?
Yeah for me it's about getting into a quad for half the price of a tri. Other option would be to run out the 3 years on my lease and look for used (or whatever they have then) to scratch my "more power" itch. But that's 3 years.
Switching to a bought and paid for 22 quad is a risk compared to...
I've heard a lot about the noisy suspension on the quads. Is that solved with the new jounce lines? Or is will it never be like the gen 2? Is all gen 1 suspension is the same? Because my 24 dual is super quiet.
Can you expand on what you like better? I have a current dual motor and don't want to "downgrade". I drove a loaner quad and just loved the way it accelerated/handled better. Not a fan of the open diffs on the dual and hate the auto height/auto discconect options that I have to defeat each time...
Appreciate your input. You're actually the first person I've seen with an unsatisfactory demo purchase. Not saying there aren't more, I've yet to comb through this entire thread.
How do you like the performance/handling of the tri compared to the quad? Do you miss anything at all about the quad?
Agree about the battery sitting. I wouldn't think the showroom folks would keep it at 100%, hopefully Rivian tells them better.
This is it, good deal?

Just started looking into this subject since I'm looking to go from lease to buy with my next Rivian...
Very stupid question... when these warranty's say 8yrs/100,000 miles, does that mileage and time start "from new" or "from expiration of original warranty"?
That is weird, sounds like something is wrong with one of the tires then. I don't have that at all. In fact, yesterday I turned off the music and listened, tires are quite quiet. There if you look for it but not loud by any means.
Being knobby all terrains I can feel them slightly at full turn...
Just learned about these demos and saw a bunch pop up today. Snagged one in VA, I'm in GA. I've got a trade in offer from Rivian to buy out my lease.
1. Has anyone done a trade in on a demo? Wondering if I'll have to drive the trade to VA or they can take it in Atlanta.
2. Any concerns about...
I've got like 400 miles on them and they've smoothed out some. I'm quite happy. The "drone" is not an issue. I've completely forgotten about it. It's either quieter or I've gotten more used to it, probably a little bit of both. These tires are not loud imo. The loudest thing in my truck is the...
Not helpful to you, but just wanted to echo how frustrating it is on this site. Everyone seems to take close up pictures of the tires instead of a full view of the vehicle. Makes no sense to me. I can see what the tire itself looks like, I wanna see what the Rivian looks like with those tires!
