I upgraded from and iPhone 11 to 14 pro a few months after taking delivery. Just signed in to the Rivian app, paired the new phone and carried on.
Side note, the iPhone 11 worked better with the built-in wireless charger since it was not a MagSafe device.
All purpose mode with auto ride height. Which essentially means standard or low height.
I do generally have auto high beams on. Yes, they can get a bit wonky. However that isn’t the issue here. Last night I passed a line of three oncoming vehicles, high beams were behaving properly. The third...
I guess this is what adaptive driving beam headlights are supposed to fix. I recall reading that Polestar vehicles have ADB capability based on European rules but can’t enable them on in the US because NHTSA adopted a rule that would require hardware changes.
Lately I have noticed other cars flashing their high beams at me when driving at night. It seems like they think I have my high beams on when, in fact, it is just the normal headlights. Has anyone else noticed this also?
I’m thinking that maybe the light bar plus headlights is more than people...
I’m on the waiting list for StowNCharge. Looks like my turn will come up in April.
I decided on it because I like the idea of the drawer. Tough choice though as the wood topo map on the s00nish looks really cool.
The wheels and tires have been great this winter. Some details and my initial observations are in this thread:

I plan to post an update for the season when I swap back...
The thing that caught my eye with the currently available Toyo though is that it is an LT tire with 123/120S rating but a claimed weight of 53 lbs. That seems like a pretty minimal weight penalty for the extra durability.
Interesting. I was under the mistaken impression that it was the sound of a water droplet. I think the service center rep at our test drive said something to that effect.
I respect the ways in which Rivian diverges from conventions that "replicate something that isn't there". EV's with...
Two days short of a year and 42 miles short of 19k with my R1T. Zero regrets.
I had plenty of doubts and second thoughts going in. That all went out the window pretty quick. Since then the truck has only gotten better courtesy of regular software updates.
I’ve decided that charging angst is...
I think of it as army green but with a gloss finish. My guide's personal vehicle was a launch green R1T. He actually told me to look for an army green R1T when picking me up for a short trip to the Costa Mesa service center from the SNA airport.
Interesting note about the Cybertruck tires:
"dramatically shallower tread depth: 9/32 versus 14/32 of an inch"
Apparently this isn't exactly uncommon as Motortrend recently called out Toyota for downgraded versions of the Wildpeak A/T3W.
"The OE version of the A/T3W comes with only 10/32" of...
File a ticket and ask for a mobile service appointment.
Had mine adjusted by a mobile tech back in October. The tech explained that there are no sensors per se. Instead it just monitors current on the motorized lifting struts. If the current spikes then the truck assumes there is an obstruction...
The power tonneau was one of the many cool factors when I first got interested in Rivian. An integrated retractable cover seemed like it would be a lot more convenient than the one piece tilt up cover on my old truck.
Now, though, I am grateful that the PTC got cancelled from my order. My DIY...
