I never quite understood this maintenance schedule for Rivians as if they were ICE cars. Had the 7.5k service done because my R1S needed a couple of thngs fixed that only SC could do.
Have no plans to have it seviced again. The way I see it, it is an EV, not an ICE car; not much to maintain a...
Likewise, I fast charge only when taking the occasional long trip. RAN was great last year, perfect, relatively low prices. Fine.
Then RAN decided to jack up prices and join most other networks out there.
In my neck of the woods, RAN charger costs $0.60/kWh. A few miles to the East, the...
Have you tried perhaps a different dispenser?
Have seen that with some Tesla dispensers also; moved over to another one, better.
I charged at a Tesla SC yesterday. My Rivian started preconditioning one hour before arrival: pack temp. lowered to 76F from 95F when I got to it at 10% SOC...
I never forget my introduction to EA. Missoula, MT. The great Tesla supercharger at U.S. 93 North, $0.35/kWh, $0.45 for Rivian. 7 miles away, other side of town, EA cost $0.64 kWh.
Typical highert cost for most of the other charging networks, a total scam and fraud in my view and the reason...
Tesla superchargers are everywhere, ubiquitous. Even if not all of them support Rivians, there are still lots of them that do. They are ultra reliable, and do not suffer from the deranged, absurd, pickpocket, rip-off, no-thank-you electricity prices that most of the other networks want for...
Getting to drive my R1SQ Gen 1 again after being in storage since November last year. Some software upgrades since…
Went on a day trip yesterday around northeastern WA, 400 miles.
The highlights:
Excellent to be able to plan my trip on the app perfectly and send the navigation info to my...
If you could get over your apparently hopelessly depraved ignorance about and likewise hatred for Tesla FSD, perhaps we could have a reasonable discussion. It is simply not worth my time.
2019, stale as {expletive]. Individual is stupid enough to dive down for a phone, blame Tesla, blah-blah. FSD was never promised to fix stupid. Let's keep it real, that way also, okay?
Thank you.
Whenever I have used Google Maps on my Teslas where there is no cell coverage, turn-by-turn instructions remain working always; map screen goes blank, but the route blue line stays on unaffected, working just the same. Once cell coverage resumes, map graphics display comes back automatically.
Using Google Maps for a very long time, my Teslas always give me alternate routes when selecting a destination, if available. Just like my phone or my PC does.
Have used Pet Mode many times; this incident was a one-off, no biggie. Funny, she still suggested that I get a windshield screen.
I do try to avoid using my sign on the dash as much as possible because it may draw unwanted attention to my dogs, which always get on their very comfy bed in the...
Two wrongs never make a right.
EVs are still a nascent technology. Vast majority of people, the well-meaning ones included, do not know about, let alone understand this Dog Mode/Pet Mode feature that makes EVs so special and great for traveling with our beloved pets. It may take a very long...
Thank you for the tips!
Tesla's Dog Mode will not turn on if 20% or less SOC, either. Neither will Sentry Mode.
Would it have helped to lower your windows some instead? Have seen a few ICE owners do just that. Not for me and my dogs.
Have learned that getting down to and past 20% SOC is...
