Well, my circumstances are different and complicated by my purchase of this vehicle being through my LLC - so technically it's not a personal purchase and it shouldn't even need a CVSR. The SC said in a call earlier today that they couldn't submit the CVSR in my case for that reason.
I also...
Hmmm... I had thought I'd dodged this particular bullet when I contacted Rivian back in March and they sent me a copy of my CVSR stating "Attached you will find the Clean Vehicle Seller Report that was submitted to the IRS when you took delivery. Let us know if you need anything else!" However...
I hadn't paid attention to this previously, but now having googled it a bit - I see you're right.
We could still see this happening, but it's not the simple matter I'd thought it was. His board is apparently hand-picked and controlled by him, and they have a supermajority rule in the Tesla...
Thanks! I'll look for the door unlock setting and put in a service request on the blinker lever. I know the force point you're speaking of and agree it's easy to feel that. I only wish that was the point at wish the full blink kicked in.
I agree, and strongly. It's just wrong to vandalize other people's property. That a few want to take it to that point is sad, and the behavior is criminal, to say the least.
Even without the criminal behavior of a few misguided souls, I believe we'd be seeing a collapse of the used Tesla market...
Huh, when I got mine last July it was doing the one-sweep-of-wipers each time I put it in drive if the wipers were on automatic. I just assumed that was by design. At some point (last year?) it stopped, and it's not doing it now, but it used to.
The thing I've noticed recently is when I put it...
I've yet to be coal-rolled, and I think it's much less likely now that I'm in Seattle than it would have been in FL. Of course, we get our paybacks when we drive past them at a gas station and they're paying close to $5/gal around these parts. I'm tempted to wave at them too under those...
I've noticed the same thing - it seems I'm more likely to get a wave back if the other driver is in an R1T. No matter, if I see you in a Rivian and can do it, you'll get a wave from me. I love the camaraderie!
Maybe one day when they're as common as M3/MY it will get old, but I hope not. It...
LOL! I suppose it's just relative, then. Perhaps not nice in general, but at least nicer - or maybe it's just the Rivian drivers who're nicer...
I started waving to other Rivians as soon as I got mine in FL, but I think in all that time, I got only one that waved back.
We moved from FL to Seattle recently, where there are a lot more Rivians, and now I get lots of wave backs. My wife thinks the drivers here are just friendlier than in...
I had this same question, so I poked around the Comma Discord server and found that it's supposed to shut itself off after a little time. When I asked about this in the Rivian channel on that server, a Tesla owner confirmed that it has that behavior in their vehicle, so presumably Rivian will be...
There seems to be a little confusion as to why the display needs to be high up on the windshield and centered.
Sure, there's a display facing the driver, but the Comma AI unit itself has cameras that need to be located where they can see the road and see the driver. The part of the system...
LOL, no they did not drop the range from 1000mi to 400mi. The launch edition is designed for 400mi. There are other models planned with larger batteries - one of which is targeted at 1000mi range.
I put $100 down for one of the launch editions, but that was when I lived in relatively sunny...
This is really exciting, and even sooner than I'd thought it would be!
Any word on how well the experimental mode handles stop signs and traffic lights?
"Traffic light and stop sign handling is also available in Experimental mode"
I hope that more customization options are coming soon. If this thread shows anything, it's that different drivers want different things under various conditions. One size does not fit all, and with a vehicle as smart as this, why not allow a measure of customization? If some things can't be...
That's a good question. At a guess, since it's using the vehicle's built-in capabilities, I'd expect it works similarly to how the built-in cruise control slows down when someone is in front of you moving slower - that is to say, it would use regen based on your user settings for the how...
